3. Why this Study?
Lack of comprehensive data on water bodies like
Lakes, Gokattes & Kuntes
Water bodies are under severe threat due to rapid
urbanisation/ industrialisation
Bangalore is already facing acute water scarcity and
certainly increase by leaps and bounds
Finding possible ways for conserving these water
bodies and to enhance their ecological and economical
values
