The Assayer by Galileo Galilei There was a man that lived in a lonely place, apart from the society and was very curious of everything that he heard.In the past time,he raised some birds which he enjoyed to hear the beautiful songs that they produce.One day he heard a noise similar to the one the birds and he went outside to capture it, and he found out that it wasn ’t a bird, it was a shepherd boy who was blowing a flute. So, he decided to exchange a calf for the flute.He was very surprised because he had discover a new way of forming musical notes.Then he started in search of new adventures. The next day he passed by a small hut and found a small boy with a violin, he started think that they were many ways of producing melodies and musical notes. Another day in temple, lead by the curiosity he heard other type of noises and expecting a man blowing something, he found out a man with a glass rubbing the rim of it with his fingers. He was very surprised of such things that he was seeing. He started to see that the mosquitoes, wasps, and flies make sounds in function to breath and this sounds were produced by the delicate beating of their wings.Also with those experiences he thought that crickets produce the shrilling by scrapping their wings together.Even though they cannot fly.
