3. On this page, the background is gradient black and white this is good because it contrasts with the black and white font. There is black writing on the white background and there is white writing on the black background. There is the letter ‘V’ in the background to represent the ‘V’ in ‘VIBE’ this is there so that the customer can recognise the magazine no matter what page they are on. The Main image is of an attractive looking young female, this attracts most young/teenage magazine readers because the males will want to read on and the females will aspire to be like her although the image is clearly manipulated to make her blemish free. The word ‘contents’ is in a large clear font so that when the reader turns to the page they know straight away that it is the contents page. There is not very much facial expression on the girl in the image and she is quite seductive and this adds a seriousness to the feel of the page to make the customer read on. The girl in the picture is wearing clothes that match the colours of the background. This is because it does not draw attention off the text in the centre.

4. On this page they have a title at the top of the page so that the reader instantly knows what page they are on. Without having to guess by looking down the page. All of the main headlines and page numbers etc are on the right hand side of the page. They are all in one place so it is easy to find what you are looking for. There is an advertisement at the bottom of the page promoting the magazine and making people subscribe so that they get the magazines for a small amount of money each month. There are relevant images in the centre of the page of a famous band. This is here because when a reader sees a famous band they will instantly think that they are involved in the magazine so they will look into it. There is a small article on the contents page to give the reader a taste of what is inside. This is usually the most interesting story so that the reader will want to proceed further. There is a list of bands down the left hand side of the page. This is there so that when a reader wants to find there favourite band they can skim through the page and find what they are after.

5. With this magazine, the colour scheme is on going throughout the contents page. In this case the colours used are red, grey and white. There is a large picture of a famous band on this page to attract the reader to that story. There is a long shot used so that you can see the whole band. The band are wearing fashionable cool clothing that are in keeping with the theme of the magazine so that they can be role models for young people listening to their music. The date and issue number are at the top right hand side of the page so that you can identify if this is an up to date magazine and also so you can find out if you have the full collection. Like the previous magazine the information is all kept in one list so that you can find out where about things are without having to look around the page.
