“To read the fine print” – to read the text in a formal agreement that is printed
smaller than the rest of the text. It often contains conditions that might prove unfavourable.
“To read between the lines” – to try to understand someone’s real feelings or intentions from what they
say or write
“To read someone like a book” - to be able to understand easily what someone thinks or feels
“A bookworm” – a person that reads a lot
“To read something (from) cover to cover”– read all the way through from the beginning to the end

Use the verb “wish” when you want the present situation to be different.
Use the verb “wish” when you want a past situation to have been different.
Use the verb “wish” when you want a future situation to be different than you
know for sure it will be.

Note: When you use “wish” with the verb “to be” we use “were”.
