1. Articles "a" and "an" are used with countable nouns in singular form and for jobs or occupations. They are also used in exclamations with a singular noun. 2. "A" is used to indicate frequency. 3. The definite article "the" is used when the noun is specific or mentioned before, with cinema, theatre, and radio, to refer to a group of people, and in progressive constructions. 4. Articles are omitted when speaking in a general sense, with sports, usual places, and with last and next.
