Editor's Notes

  • #11 Meet the three article : “a”, “an”, and “the”
  • #12 All three articles like to point out nouns
  • #13 The twin articles “a” and “an” like to point out singular nouns. “The” likes to point out both singular and plural nouns.
  • #14 “a” and “an” are usually seen with one person, one place, one animal and one thing.
  • #15 Though they are twins, both have different hobbies. The article “a” is seen with nouns that begin with consonants
  • #16 For example : a bus , a cow
  • #17 The article “an” likes to listen to nouns beginning with vowel sounds.
  • #18 For example: an umbrella, an octopus
  • #19 Article “the” is used when we talk about the introduced noun the second time. For example: That is a stall. There is an umbrella on the stall
  • #24 Use a/an to describe a person or thing, usually with an adjective
  • #26 But most magazines have no article, Example: Vogue, Newsweek, Time, Hello
