Art can take many forms such as paintings, sculptures, music, theatre, and dance. It is a form of creative human expression that enriches human experience and helps communicate ideas and feelings. There are three main types of visual art: painting, sculpture, and architecture. Art is important for children as it helps develop their fine motor, cognitive, emotional, and social skills while boosting self-confidence. Art understanding refers to how people interpret and derive meaning from different art forms by considering what is seen, felt, and thought about a work of art.

2. What is art?
Something that is created with imagination and skill and that is
beautiful or that expresses important ideas or feelings such as
paintings, sculptures etc and that are created to be beautiful or to
express important ideas or feelings.

3. What are the 3 types of art?
 The three classical branches of art are painting, sculpture and
architecture. Music, theatre, film, dance, and other performing arts,
as well as literature and other media such as interactive media, are
included in a broader definition of the arts.

4. Why art is so important?
 Art helps make that happen by making sure that identities and
their cultures are given due recognition around the world. That’s
why the artist believe that art is a form of creative human
expression, a way of enriching the human experience.

5. What can art do?
 Art in its broadest sense, is a form of communication. It means
whatever the artist intends it to mean, and this meaning is shaped
by the materials, techniques, and forms it makes use of, as well as
the ideas and feelings it creates in its viewers. Art is an act of
expressing feelings, thoughts, and observations.

6. What is motivated art?
 Motivated purposes of art refer to intentional, conscious actions
on the part of the artists or creator. These may be to bring about
political change, to comment on an aspect of society, to convey a
specific emotion or mood, to address personal psychology, to
illustrate another discipline, to (with commercial arts) to sell a
product, or simply as a form of communication.

7. Why art is important for children?
 As kids manipulate a paintbrush, their fine motor skills improve.
By counting pieces and colors, they learn the basics of math.
When children experiment with materials, they dabble in science.
Most important perhaps, when kids feel good while they are
creating, art helps boost self-confidence.

8. How does art help children's development?
 Emotional development. Through creative art, children may be
able to represent experiences that they cannot verbalize. They may
draw pictures out of proportion, exaggerating things that are
important to them. When we value children’s creativity, we help
them feel valued as people, raising their self-esteem.
