ETRA has expertise in several areas relevant to automated driving: - Proven expertise in V2I communication technologies and requirements gathering tools. - Experience managing traffic and providing real-time transportation data in Spain. - Expertise in security issues around data and systems for automated driving.

1. ETRA expertise
Proven expertise in core technologies such as V2I communication: SHERPA V2I solution
incorporating intelligent traffic controllers developed by ETRA and already validated in
real environment.
Proven expertise in identification of user needs and requirements: ETRA has developed
the VOLERE tool for gathering the requirements from all stake-holders and to identify
conflicting features in early stages. The ETRA tool has been successfully used and
validated in more than 15 projects (DORA, SIMON, NOBELGRID, PRECYSE, SECCRIT,
PRISMACLOUD, …).
Proven expertise in security data. A non-homogenous set of rules and legislations to test
automated driving exist in Europe at local, regional and national level: a further
harmonization is requested. This applies to safety but also to security: data security and
system integrity need to be ensured, but here as well harmonization will be requested.
Traffic management and real-time data provider (car surrounding info): technology that
manages 53% of urban traffic in Spain belongs to ETRA.
Interoperable and open urban mobility platform developer: allows the integration and
management of all the services and solutions surrounding the ecosystem of a city. ETRA
has developed a reactive core of control systems for data in real-time to deploy open
data in smart cities.

and provides its expertise on cyber security issues.

ETRA offers its expertise on integration with intelligent traffic and logistical information systems
ART-07-2017: Full-scale demonstration of urban road transport automation
ETRA offers a pilot site to prepare a demonstration involving the public transport system in different
complex traffic scenarios
