This document provides an outline for organizing an essay. It recommends placing the thesis statement in the body of the essay rather than the introduction to use inductive reasoning. The introduction should include an example, story, or quote to draw the reader in. Each body paragraph should present an idea supported by references to authors and include a counterargument or concession. A second body section repeats this structure to further develop the argument.
