New technologies of information and communication (NTICs) emerged since the 1970s as part of the information revolution. These technologies allow for faster and more effective information exchange through access to internal and external networks, video conferencing, shared documents in real time, and call redistribution. The evolution of information technologies is prompting a redefinition of the work space, with working from home becoming a viable option where flexibility is valued. While teleworking offers advantages like stress reduction, work-life balance, and cost savings, it also presents disadvantages such as loneliness, blurring of personal and professional life, lack of structure, and difficulty adapting to office environments.
