Graphic libraries are specialist applications developed with the involvement of
manufacturers.
They are used for applications like:
•Kitchen designs – standard symbols used for kitchen appliances which are
used when designing a kitchen layout.
•Map making – also know as cartography. Contains symbols used by the
Ordinance Survey (OS) so that maps can be created.
•Network design – contain industry standard symbols for main components
needed in a network e.g. cabling.
