Jakarta is prone to flooding due to its low-lying geography and river systems. The government developed a Smart City platform to help mitigate flood disasters, but it lacked accurate, detailed flood reports from citizens. To address this, the team proposes SmartFlood, which aims to streamline flood data collection and validation between citizens, local authorities, and government agencies to provide real-time flood mapping and inform evacuation and relief efforts. SmartFlood would make the reporting and validation process more efficient and generate maps to help both citizens and officials respond to flooding.
