Over the past decade, Mark Chae, Ph.D. has worked at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey as an associate professor and researcher. To that extent, the organizations have created an action plan called “A Unified Vision for Transforming Mental Health and Substance Abuse Care.” The plan forms a roadmap that calls for better policies and programs, among other initiatives focused on mental health services. Some of the initiatives include improving access to care, achieving payment parity among health care plans, and creating a diverse and inclusive mental health care workforce.
