In 2018, Catalyst Balkans reported 581 unique instances of charitable giving in North Macedonia, marking a 13.4% decline from the previous year, despite a significant increase in total donation value due to one major corporate contribution. The corporate sector emerged as the largest donor, accounting for 67.5% of the total giving, while individual donations dropped to 12.1%. Healthcare was the most supported theme, and the report highlights an overall decrease in transparency regarding the declared values of donations.
