Scenario:  Model Development (With Machine Learning)   Tableau Dashboard Demo: “Risk Model” Graph 1: Risk Model Accuracy: This model was 97% accurate on our testing data when using the Bankcard and general premier attributes. 97% of the time it predicted whether a consumer will become derogatory or stay stable within 12 months. Chart 1: Confusion Matrix A Confusion Matrix is a deeper dive into the accuracy and precision of our model. As you can see from earlier we modeled a consumer’s behavior correctly 97% of the time. True Positive We correctly estimated the consumer will not become delinquent 95.7% of the time. True Negative We correctly estimated the consumer will become delinquent 1.65% of the time. False Positive We incorrectly estimated a consumer will not become delinquent, but the consumer became delinquent 2% of the time. False Negative We incorrectly estimated a consumer will become delinquent but the consumer did not become delinquent 0.51% of the time.   Graph 2: Model Vs. Actual Bad Rate Using Python we determined one of the most predictive attributes is BCC2800 (Number of Bankcards to ever go derogatory). We bucketed the consumers into different groups depending on the number of Bankcards they owned that went derogatory. The bar chart is the Actual Bad % of each consumer within that segment. The line is the modeled bad % of that same group. This exploratory analysis will show that our model shows less derogatory rates EXCEPT for 10-15. For the 10-15 bucket our model estimated a higher percentage of trades will become derogatory. Why is this helpful? This type of analysis will allow us to see where our model and real life differ. This allows us to modify the code we have written in the Sandbox to apply different weights to this premier attribute as well as others.
