The document provides an overview of Angular concepts and best practices. It begins with an "Angular Alphabet" that defines essential Angular elements and concepts corresponding to each letter. It then discusses specific concepts in more detail, such as components, directives, services and templates. It concludes by recommending next steps like exploring the Angular glossary, creating a sample project and sharing it for review.
The presentation deals with the special use cases of Vue.js, contains an overview of existing solutions like React, Angular and compare them on a high level, shows in which cases Vue.js can boost developers productivity.
This presentation by Igor Nesterenko (Lead Software Engineer, Consultant, GlobalLogic Kharkiv) was delivered at GlobalLogic Kharkiv JS TechTalk on December 18, 2017.
Angular based enterprise level frontend architectureHimanshu Tamrakar
Get to know, What are different ways of architecting frontend applications using angular.
It will help you understand what is npm packages, monorepo, and micro frontends are and how we can design those using angular.
Every time we generate an Angular app with schematics it contains a set of Angular builders that can be used out of the box. By the time your application grows you will need a set of tasks that can automate processes such as generate the documentation, deploy an image on docker, or deploy the app on a k8s cluster. These tasks can be executed as Angular custom builders. This talk will show you how to create a custom Angular builder step by step with an overview of what is a monorepo and its benefits. At the end of the talk, we will be able to run our custom builder by running the command ng run my-app:custom-builder

Quick introduction to Angular 4 for AngularJS 1.5 developersPaweł Żurowski
Quick and dirty introduction to main concepts of Angular Web applications. These slides where accompanied by a workshop that took place in Decerto for fellow professionals.
This fast-paced overview for beginners discusses some aspects of AngularJS 1.x and 2.x, which versions to learn (and why), and the technologies that you need to learn. We'll delve into examples of combining AngularJS with other technologies (such as BackboneJS and D3.js), and also address the +/- of AngularJS.
Building a Spring Boot Application - Ask the Audience! (from JavaLand 2017)🎤 Hanno Embregts 🎸
Spring Boot makes it easy to create stand-alone Spring-based application that you can 'just run'. It uses a 'convention over configuration' approach to get you up and running in no-time, while offering all Spring features that you have grown fond of in the past years. In this session this is demonstrated by live-coding a Spring Boot application that will just work.
But audience beware, this is not your standard live-coding session'. Attendees will have a vital say in the session's content by defining the applications requ irements. Should it be an app to track your kitchen cupboard contents or do you want a simple task planner? It's up to you! Should it use MongoDB or Couchbase? You decide! Do you want an AngularJS front-end with a RESTful backend or do you prefer a classic web app with Thymeleaf templates? It's your call! Seriously.
During the session you get to make these decisions by participating in an online vote. And you will discover that Spring Boot is up to the task no matter what choices you make.
So what are you waiting for? Bring your own device, help shape the application that we're building and learn lots about Spring Boot in the process.
This session is intended for Java software engineers with an interest in Spring Boot. Some Spring experience could come in handy, but is not strictly necessary. After this session, you will know enough to start your own Spring Boot project.
Probabilmente il framework javascript più atteso di sempre, evoluzione di uno dei framework più longevi ed usati nello sviluppo front end. Si vedranno alcune delle novità introdotte e delle scelte radicali fatte da Google per la nuova versione di Angular

Migrating an Application from Angular 1 to Angular 2 Ross Dederer
Migrating Angular 1 to Angular 2: I can summarize my experience in migration in one phrase: Angular 1 and Angular 2 are very different. To help navigate through these differences, I have chosen an existing Angular 1 application and ported it over to Angular 2. This is not any old existing application but an application that has been around for almost a decade originally developed my Microsoft in Silverlight.
I will walk you through the steps of migration as well as sharing insights and problems I faced along the way. Additionally, with Google recommending developers use TypeScript, I will walk you through core concepts such as type safety, encapsulation, and MVVM development patterns. You will find side by side code comparisons for each topic.
About me : As a Developer Relations Engineer at ComponentOne, a division of GrapeCity, Ross Dederer has spent his entire professional life helping others navigate the complex technology environment. Ross works closely with clients and developer teams to provide solutions that impact software development experiences. Traveling to code camps, conferences and meeting with corporate clients, Ross is able to pursue his passion of helping the community grow.

GDG Cloud Southlake #33: Boule & Rebala: Effective AppSec in SDLC using Deplo...James Anderson
Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.

DevOps and Testing slides at DASA ConnectKari Kakkonen
My and Rik Marselis slides at 30.5.2024 DASA Connect conference. We discuss about what is testing, then what is agile testing and finally what is Testing in DevOps. Finally we had lovely workshop with the participants trying to find out different ways to think about quality and testing in different parts of the DevOps infinity loop.
Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.
The Art of the Pitch: WordPress Relationships and SalesLaura Byrne
Clients don’t know what they don’t know. What web solutions are right for them? How does WordPress come into the picture? How do you make sure you understand scope and timeline? What do you do if sometime changes?
All these questions and more will be explored as we talk about matching clients’ needs with what your agency offers without pulling teeth or pulling your hair out. Practical tips, and strategies for successful relationship building that leads to closing the deal.

Angular
A.k.a "Angular 2+" or "Angular 2" is a
TypeScript-based open-source front-end
web application platform led by the
Angular Team at Google and by a
community of individuals and
corporations. Angular is a complete
rewrite from the same team that built
AngularJS.
Current release is Angular 5.

Binding
Usually refers to data binding and the act
of binding an HTML object property to a
data object property.
Barrel
A way to roll up exports from several
ES2015 modules into a single convenient
ES2015 module. The barrel itself is an
ES2015 module file that re-exports

Component
An Angular class responsible for exposing
data to a view and handling most of the
view’s display and user-interaction logic.
Change Detection
”The basic task of change detection is to
take the internal state of a program and
make it visible to UI” — thoughtram.

DI
A design pattern and mechanism for
creating and delivering parts of an
application to other parts of an
application that request them.
Directive
An Angular class responsible for
creating, reshaping, and interacting with
HTML elements in the browser DOM.

Hooks of Lifecycle
Angular offers lifecycle hooks that provide visibility into these key life moments and the
ability to act when they occur. Angular creates it, renders it, creates and renders its
children, checks it when its data-bound properties change, and destroys it before
removing it from the DOM. https://angular.io/guide/lifecycle-hooks

Input
A directive property that can be the
target of a property binding. Data values
flow into this property from the data
source identified in the template
expression to the right of the equal sign.

Just-in-time (JIT) compilation
A bootstrapping method of compiling
components and modules in the browser
and launching the application
dynamically. Just-in-time mode is a
good choice during development.
Consider using the ahead-of-time mode
for production apps.

Ideal for writing and running unit tests
while developing the application. It can
be an integral part of the project's
development and continuous integration
processes
Run it like this:

Language Service
The Angular Language Service is a way
to get completions, errors, hints, and
navigation inside your Angular templates
whether they are external in an HTML file
or embedded in annotations/decorators
in a string. The Angular Language
Service autodetects that you are opening
an Angular file, reads your tsconfig.json
file, finds all the templates you have in

Module
A cohesive block of code dedicated to a
single purpose.
import { BrowserModule } from '@angular/platform-browser';
import { NgModule } from '@angular/core';
import { AppComponent } from './app.component';
import { HomeComponent } from './home/home.component';
@NgModule({
declarations: [
AppComponent,

ngModule
Helps you organize an application into
cohesive blocks of functionality. An
NgModule identifies the components,
directives, and pipes that the application
uses along with the list of external
NgModules that the application needs,
such as FormsModule.
ngClass

Pipe
It is a function that transforms input values to output
values for display in a view. Here's an example that
uses the built-in currency pipe to display a numeric
value in the local currency.
Price: {{product.price | currency}}
Provider
Creates a new instance of a dependency for the
dependency injection system. It relates a lookup token
to code—sometimes called a "recipe"—that can create
a dependency value.

View
Displays information and responds to user actions like clicks,
mouse moves, keystrokes, etc.
View is rendered under the control of one or more directives,
especially component directives and their companion
templates.
The component is important that much we can usually save it
is a view. Views can contain other views, can be loaded and
unloaded dynamically during navigation through the
application, under the control of a router.

Zone.js
Encapsulates and intercepts an app asynchronous activity.
DOM and JavaScript have a limited number of asynchronous
activities: DOM events (clicks etc.), promises, XHR calls to
servers.
Zones intercept these activities and give a "zone client" the
possibility to respond to it before and after the async activity
finishes.
Angular runs application in a zone where it respond to
asynchronous events by checking data changes and updating
the display via data bindings. Brian Ford video explains Zones.
