Angry Eyes
Jane Elliot’s methods, to me, were similar to the “Fire and Brim Stone” method of
preaching in a way, just about racism. It was very aggressive and did well at getting the kids to
focus, and experience a dose of what she was trying to convey. She wants the students to
experience what racism feels like. She wants them to know how terrible and terrifying it can be
to go through something like that, she says it is just like simulating it though and not close to the
real thing. I agree with this, it seems like it really put this sort of thing into perspective for the
students and even myself. The thing is, I do not know if I agree with her all the way. I feel like
she only focused on certain races and ethnicities. All discretions aside, I still believe she did a
great job.

I feel like she only focused on certain races and ethnicities. All discretions aside, I still believe she did a great job.
