Fleet Operations Controller
RAILCORP NSW - October 2009 to Present
Responsibilities
Supervision of staff, Planning routine and out-of-course maintenance/repairs of Electric Rolling Stock, and on-
the-go repairs of rolling stock, fleet control, fleet balancing. Receive faults via computer logs, telephone, up to
150 calls a day (12 hr shifts). Shift work, weekends. Deploy staff to monitor,repair, report back and conduct
investigations.
Assign defects to relevant parties/controlling entities ie Maintenance Centres.
Accomplishments
Each days objective is to ensure safe, reliable, on time running of Sydney Trains Electric Fleet. To keep Sydney
moving. To achieve this my role was to engage in the receiving and logging of train related issues,faults, delays
and problems which can affect the on time running of the fleet. Then deploying/acting on the experience I have
gained over 24 years in Rail Industry to decide on a course of action which will achieve the best and safest
result for the public and my employees.
