PROFILE
A multi-skilled offshore mechanic/ engineer with good all-round technical and mechanical
expertise. Very capable with an ability to diagnose faults and then to successfully repair or
replace defective parts. A productive team player, able to work to deadlines and targets, self
motivated, organized and able to multi task. Experience of developing apprentices and
helping others with problems using my knowledge and experience.
As I am about to be made redundant I am now looking for a new career in the offshore
industry preferably a mechanical position, one which will make best use of my existing skills
and experience and also further my development.

EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
Offshore Technician/Fitter - Stork Technical Services ( RBG ) 2012-Present
Currently working for Stork Offshore as a Mechanical Fitter. My key role is to maintain and
make sure the equipment runs efficiently throughout the work scope. I have experience in
taking out permits and gas testing to ensure efficiency while working offshore. I also am an
operator so that I am an effective team worker and can jet upto 36000psi ( 2500 Bar) with
the use of HP and UHP units. Before working offshore for Stork I worked in there Dyce
Workshop familiarizing myself with the running and operation of all equipment. Ensuring I
knew the in's and out's of the units so that I knew how to diagnose and successfully repair the
units while offshore.

• Being able to fully test equipment and check for proper operation prior to the work
scope starting.

Mechanic - Regency Car Sales Elgin ( Vauxhall ) 2007 - 2012
Completed my mechanical apprenticeship. Responsible for carrying out warranty repairs to
manufacturers guidelines. Including repairs, welding, replacing faulty parts and servicing of
vehicles. Also ensuring all work is completed on time & within service schedules.
• Repairing and servicing vehicles booked into the workshop. Completely overhauling
engines to basic brakes and suspension.
• Ensuring the correct specialist tools are used to carry out repairs.
• Striping / fitting and repair all makes and models of accident damaged cars.
Farm Worker 1991 - 2006
I was brought up living on my fathers farm. I learned my passion for fixing machinery and
vehicles and generally getting my hands dirty at a young age. I help with everyday duties and
repair agricultural vehicles and equipment. I have repaired hydraulic trailers and loader
systems on tractors. I fully serviced all equipment on the farm regularly and maintain it to a
high standard so that the equipment is reliable and efficient when in use.

3. INTERESTS
When im not offshore I work at home in my own Garage. I like to build rally cars and hill sprint
vehicles. If im not working on my own vehicles I help out friends and family with there cars.
