My Civilization:Ancient Egypt
The Research Journey:
My favorite part of the research journey was note taking because I’m
good at note taking and note taking is fun.My best research question
was “What kind of food did they eat?” because I found a lot of
information and I could write a long paragraph about it.
While doing my research, I found it difficult to find a lot of
information because a lot of books didn’t answer my questions.
The most interesting thing I learned about the structure of society
was that in ancient Egypt, scribes were only people who could write
hieroglyphs.I think that shipsare an important legacy of ancient
Egypt because if we didn’t have ships, we could not trade with
another countries.
Report Writing
I am proud of my report because I wrote a lot and there is a lot of
information in it.While writing the report, I became better at writing
paragraphs.If I wrote it again, I would improve my report by writing
more and making less spelling mistakes.
Archeology Presentation
I enjoyed making my artifacts because I like making and painting
things.I found it difficult to make some artifacts out of clay because it
didn’t change to the shape that I wanted.I am most proud of my
Rosetta stone artifact because I did the most work on it.I didn’t enjoy
the archeology presentation because it was too hard.I found it
difficult to write my palm cards because I didn’t know what to
write.While preparing for this presentation, I became better at
reading.
What else?
During this unit I especially enjoyed making artifacts. I took extra
time to memorize my palm cards.After this unit, I might continue to
learn about ancient Egypt.
