Kazuki Li reflects on their research project about ancient China. They enjoyed writing notes during research as it helped them learn more, and found it easy to research what types of food were eaten. While writing their report, Kazuki became better at writing and using English. They were proud of their artifacts replicating ancient Chinese objects, but presenting about them was difficult due to being tired and lack of audience attention. Overall, Kazuki especially enjoyed making a timeline for ancient China and wants to learn more about other Chinese legacies.

My Civilization: Ancient China By: Kazuki Li
The Research Journey:
My favorite part of the research journey was writing notes because I
can learn many things about ancient China from finding information in
books.My best research question was “What kind of food did they eat”
because it was easy to find this information. While doing my research, I
found it difficult towrite small questions and write big questions
because I don’t like thinking in questions.I think that Great 4
inventionsare important legacies of ancient China becausewe still use
them today.
Report Writing
I am proud of my report because I wrote many things about ancient
China.While writingthe report, I became better at writing and using
English. If I wrote it again, I would improve my report by writing more
information.
Archeology Presentation
I enjoyed making my artifacts because they were very fun to make.
I found it difficult to make the printing block from clay because clay is
hard to make into a square.I am most proud of my artifacts because
they were very hard to make.I didn’t enjoyed the archeology
presentation because I was very tired and peopledidn’t always listen to
me.I found it difficult to eye contact and say things louder.
What else?
During this unit I especially enjoyed making the timeline of ancient
China. I took extra time to write notes in my research journey.After
this unit, I would like tolearn about another legacy from ancient China.
