Changing my magazine cover
- 2. • This is my current inspiration of how I want my EMPIRE magazine cover to look like. Obviously I will change a few things that don’t relate to the horror genre for example, the bullet holes, the featured films, the fonts etc. • I chose this cover as it has a lot going on but at the same time it is not over crowded with information.
- 3. I will keep the featured films in the background however change the films therefore they are horror and more conventional. One of the changes will be the gun holes. I will change these too scratches as if an animal has made a tear into the book. The 5 images of the previous James Bond’s at the bottom will be hard to change for 5 images related to horror therefore I may include the featured film strip there. I will change the image shot. Instead of having one model positioned down the middle of the page I will most probably get a close up and place it on one half of the page The positioning of the barcode and other cover lines in the corner will be positioned accordingly to the main image.
- 4. • This is my first draft. It is very basic and I used very low quality images and fonts to get the layout correct. I am un certain If I will name my magazine EMPIRE or SEQUEL. For now I have used the ‘Paytone One’ font and named it SEQUEL. • The three scratches down the page is a basic image that I copied and pasted however for the real thing I will make it more detailed. • “Welcome Home” will be changed to a font relating to horror however I will keep the background the same.
