1.Importantly, prejudice is not prejudging. People can be prejudiced.docxcarlstromcurtis
1.Importantly, prejudice is not prejudging. People can be prejudiced when knowing people from another group. Prejudice simply means hatred or dislike of an entire group of people. It is very important to understand this because often people who are prejudiced have a very hard time changing their mind and continue to have negative feelings even if they interact and get to know those in the group that they may dislike.
Class, what do you think are some of the steps that we could take as a society to reduce prejudice/ Do you think that there are some people who may never change prejudicial attitudes?
2.Yes, definitely we are not prejudiced when we are born nor do we care common prejudices. I always found it really interesting when my kids were small, they noticed differences among people and would happily call them out, your hair looks different, your skin looks different, etc. But ,while they openly discussed differences they saw, those differences meant nothing to them--they had not been socialized to have certain expectations about certain groups (stereotypical thinking). In other words, hey you look like this I look like that but who cares. It often makes me stop and think because as adults we are often careful to not call out difference or pretend like we don't notice it. Interestingly, a lot of research on prejudice actually says that if we admit to seeing differences and think about how that might affect how we interact with others, we actually do the most in society to reduce it.
Class, do you think that there is anyone in society who is completely free of prejudice or stereotypical thinking? Why might it be difficult to confront one's own biases? Do you think that this is an important step in improving inclusivity in our society?
.
Ques-1: antinormative collective pro-social behavior
Reason:
Online communities offer many individuals to adopt different disguises, thus concealing their
identities and enabling them to be more mean or callous. This type of antinormative pro-social
behavior is contributed to deindividuation. This deindiviualization is mainly due to loss of social
awareness with different attitude compared to normal social behavior.
In contrast, if the stereotypes are inaccurate (because they are developed based on first
experiences) they create more problems rather than benefits. These opinions need to be filtered
through the view of situations or person that are responsible for creating that stereotype.
Ques-2: answer: B. inclinations to act.
Reason:
Attitude is associated with meticulously cognitive, affective, and behavioral tendencies
according to empirical research that support apparent differences between thoughts & emotions
but failed to act inclinations to explain attitudes consistently
Stereotypes are our opinions about the people who does not belong to our community. Actually
all our opinions are impressions of their behavior what we observe directly or what we hear by
means of another person. Behavior reflects their attitude, the way they live, their culture and
values. Therefore, we can evaluate the people who differ from us. It is very helpful for a tourist
visiting a foreign country because it allows having guesses regarding their culture so that we can
respond and behave accordingly. By having the basic ideas about the society that we are going to
visit allows us to better predict and interpret the behaviors that we are going to experience, so
that we can acclimatize ourselves to the new society.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

1. Analysis Caring for Your Introvert
The previous article shows an interesting reflection from the point of view of a part of
society that has characteristics that essentially differ from a great majority, as described
many times we worry about making a breakthrough in analyzing certain behaviors in
people of our environment that in our opinion are not completely normal from our point of
view, or that of society in general, since we assume that all individuals should behave or
have a similar position. The analysis made the differences between two types of
personalities, make us fall in reason why we often have colleagues, friends, family or
acquaintances who tend to behave differently to us and we pigeonhole with different
pseudonyms To identify them, without thinking that they are simply people who have
different points of view or who like to do things differently than the majority.
Society as a whole stereotypes the behaviors of the vast majority so people should be or
be managed within the standard and people who are normally are denigrated or treated
with indifference and many times or the vast majority with less prior, this type of behavior
Are dragged from infancy since the children are small they are seen by the others as
different beings because they do not have the same preferences of the majority they are
often removed from society, without this being necessarily what this type of Person is
looking for, because having an introverted trait in his personality does not mean that the
person is not able to interrelate with another, on the contrary are people who value
communication and have a higher level of focus only that they do not see in Socialization
an end in itself.
Social prejudices must evolve in such a way that all people with their differences can go
integrating the masses understanding that there are tastes and interests that differ from
one another and not for that reason we have to segregate groups if not that we must
become aware That we should have empathy with people who can think or act different
from us, for a true society must create values that foster respect and understanding
towards all its members and rather we should put the main emphasis on those who show
different attitudes not to give them A different treatment if not to be aware of the essence
of their affinity.
