3. Advanced mobile phones now have the capabilities of a telephone,
camera (still and video), music player and voice recorder, personal
digital assistant. They are approaching the level of complexity of
computers for mobile applications with applications such as mobile
word processing, spreadsheets email and internet. These mobile
phones have become so interactive that they are referred to as
Smartphones.
A smartphone is a mobile phone built on a mobile operating system,
with more advanced computing capability and connectivity than a
feature phone. The first smartphones combined the functions of a
personal digital assistant (PDA) with a mobile phone. Later models
added the functionality of portable media players, low-end compact
digital cameras, pocket video cameras, and GPS navigation units to
form one multi-use device. Many modern smartphones also include
high-resolution touchscreens and web browsers that display standard
web pages as well as mobile-optimized sites. High-speed data access
is provided by Wi-Fi and Mobile Broadband.
5. OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

The method used for sample technique was an area sampling
method where there are schools and colleges. This method was
used because it was known that our target population are the
youngsters who are of the age 15 yrs to 25 yrs.
8. Scope of study:-
CHAPTER 1
contains the Introduction of the study. This includes the background of the
topic, the reasons for the selection the topic, the objective of the study, the
source of data, data collection method, sampling size, sampling procedure,
chapterization of the study and the limitation of the study.
CHAPTER 2
is related with first objective of the study i.e. finding out the reason of increasing
smartphone usage, demands and satisfaction among youngsters. The chapter
starts with the introduction of the chapter which includes the history of the
smartphone. Here we found out how smartphones where originated, where it
was used earlier and how it is growing in the present scenario. A smartphone
works in an operating system. So, detailed information about different operating
systems is also included. The chapter includes an overview of increasing
smartphones’ usage, demand, satisfaction and the reason behind them.
9. CHAPTER 3
is related to the second objective of the study i.e. factors that affects selection
of smartphones by the youngsters. The chapter includes reason for selection,
purchase and consumption of smartphones for the satisfaction of their wants.
This is done by the several factors influencing the customer. It explains the
attitudes influence behaviour through behavioural intentions. This involves the
purchase intentions towards the smartphones.
CHAPTER 4
is related to the fifth objective of the study i.e. to find the primary data,
determine what we have observed and thereby make its analysis. The chapter
includes primary data regarding some smartphone brands used among
customers in Gandhinagar. This has been done by the data collected through
survey and the analysis of that data arrived from this study.

While pursuing the research, there were several
limitations that come across that limited the efforts
of looking for the required information. The
