The students present their project on their ideal state, which has a democratic political system with an elected president as head of both state and government. The president appoints judges to the supreme court. The state also has a parliament that makes laws and oversees the executive branch, and a bill of rights that protects basic freedoms and equality under the law.

• 2) The people are the only source of power.
• 3) The political leaders are appointed by
elections.
• 4) All people are free.
• 5) Each person has the right to a freedom of
speech.
• 6) Interests of all people should be protected.
• 7) All people have the right to life.
• 8) No person shall kill any other person.
