ADMINISTRATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS.
Though it is not the project developed by me but being a Manager Executive in Neelsys India Pvt.
Ltd and having been associated with the education sector for almost a decade in India, I strongly
feel that this application software which is meant for effective management of academic jobs like
admissions, attendance management, keeping a tab on academic progress of students and
assisting students in their career progression, can prove a milestone, for professional colleges,
deemed universities and other autonomous institutions.
Some of the important characteristics of the Application Software, worth mentioning are A. It runs
in developed and developing countries across the world, incorporates best practices, easy to
operate being web based, ingrains robust analytics- auto-generated, enable colleges to have a 360
degree view of performance of the students in various ways viz. subject wise, overall grade
wise/percentagewise as also in attendance, performance of faculties in terms of their attendance
and taking classes, login facilities to enable guardians to view performance of students (being
tested), generation of sms facilities for laggard students, Admission module can help in
automating admission process in terms of notifications for various time lines, how many applied,
how many admitted with cut offs and other facilities in a transparent manner. If campus is WiFi or
has internet connection in classes, faculties can take attendance directly in the software in the
class only. Further, limited version of website –based on the information could be hosted giving
larger visibility to the college.
The Application Software is most suitable for top management like Directors, Principals, Deans,
Secretaries and Chairmen to keep a tab on the performance of students, faculties, departments
etc, on 24X7X365 - anytime anywhere Basis. The software has capabilities of controlling
management of conglomerate of institutions irrespective of distance. Imagine huge institutions
having multifarious branches worldwide could be monitored by the top person through super user
log in facilities sitting in India.
Besides the college admin module as mentioned above, there is a separate part of application
purely focussed on students as mentioned earlier. This module exclusively takes care of helping
students in preparing for better career through providing opportunities for self-grooming viz.
based on qualification they are provided career options to choose from; have readily available
information on rated colleges for considering admissions for higher studies in professional colleges
with the facility for sending admission application easily along with copies their certificates, mark
sheets etc. ; digitals library facilities; bookstore facilities (being developed); mock test facilities for
prestigious exam like GRE,GMAT,CAT etc. ; counsellors facility (being developed) for career as well
as for psychological (paid one); news on latest developments in various fields, chatting facilities,
constituting and using discussion foras etc.
Having devoted to the cause of bringing qualitative improvement in education sector in
conformity with Neelsys vision, the software is made operable for the

2. institution free of cost. When we say free of cost it means no charges for uploading
data, no hosting charges, no version improvement charges, no support charges and also not any
other hidden charges. There is however only charge and that is sms @17 paise which is for
informing laggard students’ parents/ guardians. Now imagine the recurrent savings you make
using this Application if you are paying to vendors!. Further, today institutions employ
coordinators whose lot of time is wasted in preparing the records, producing reports which cannot
always be guaranteed for accuracy in many cases. They could obviously be deployed for other
quality jobs. Further in large institutions, perhaps no. of coordinators could also be reduced since
attendance and academic progress of students for a few centres could be controlled from a central
one.
We do incentivise colleges for using our software too. To start with and for the time being we
have decided to provide Rs. 10 per student who uses our software continuously for 6 months (we
have mentioned details about students modules so they are bound to use rather than running
around to consultants and other institutions for career guidance).
We do have a strong support team comprising 60 well qualified engineers with B.Tech and MBA
degrees who will help institutions to make the system live in liaising through their teams within a
fortnight max. if data to upload on our Linux server (free of cost please) is made available which
could maximum take a day if provided in conformity with the requirement of application
software. Institutions can upload the data from their site and we will coordinate with the teams
from Vishakhapatnam- our core development centre. We can impart training, if needed in doses,
through remote site connecting their computers from Vizag. Initially data is to be uploaded one
time in the server with our coordination free of cost. Thereafter this job will be done from the
institution regularly using institution’s own user ID password etc in a highly secured environment.
It may be noted that for gaining the confidence, institutions need not waver and should also not
discontinue the existing systems being used.
Now, last but not the least for the person sitting at the helm of the affairs in institution, as a
leader must feel confident that he has to lead the institution from the front along with Neelsys to
implement this application software as it could prove a milestone in the chequered history and
