• (Allah commands justice, (Ihsan) the doing of
good, and liberality to kith and kin, and He forbids
all shameful deeds, and injustice and rebellion: He
instructs you, that you may receive admonition.)
(An-Nahl 16:90)
 The words for shamelessness used in the Quran
1. Al Fahsha: This refers to shamelessness in the general sense
 Anything that is ugly , detestable behavior is considered Fahsha.
 Socially unacceptable speech,
 Socially unacceptable clothing,
 Socially unacceptable actions,
 Vulgarity,
 Lewdness
2. Al Fahisha: This refers to a particular act of
inappropriateness.
So Fahsha is the general inappropriateness
Al Fahisha is a particular act of inappropriateness.
Plural for both:Al Fawahish: Include both Fahsha and al Fahisha.
• There are two opinions about the meaning of Fahisha. Fawahish is simply
the plural form of Fahisha
1- Something which is gross, or lewd and obscene.
 This could be in speech or language (as in uttering foul, evil, lewd or
obscene speech)
 An indecent act per Quran like pornography, fornication , adultery or
homosexual act, bestiality, incest and other perversions.
2- Any major sin for which Sharia has prescribed a Hadd
(specific punishment). Examples are :
 Disbelieving in God after having believed in Him
 Killing an innocent soul,
 Dealing with Riba (usury, interest),
 Treating one’s parents harshly,
 Adultery,
 Fornication,
 Giving false testimonies, etc
• “Do not marry the women who were previously married to your fathers-
existing marriages are exempted, for it is a gross offense <fahisha>, and an
abominable act.” (4/22)
• “Lot said to his people, “You commit such an abomination <fahisha>; no
one in the world has done it before!” (7/80)
• “You shall not commit adultery; it is a gross sin <fahisha>, and an evil
behavior.” (17/32)
So, the “obvious’ sins are 1)Pornography 2) Adultery, 3) Homosexuality, 4)
Incest.
• The Prophet (SAW) said:
“O ‘Aisha! Have you ever seen me speaking a bad and
dirty language? The worst people in Allah’s sight on
the Day of Resurrection will be those whom the
people desert or leave in order to save themselves
from their dirty language or from their transgression.”
(Bukhari)
• The Prophet (SAW) said:
“The inmates of Hell are of five types….” And among
them he mentioned “…the miser, the liar and those
who are in the habit of abusing people and using
obscene and foul language.” (Muslim)
• Abdullah bin ‘Amr (RA) said:
“The Prophet (SAW) never used bad language neither a
‘Fahish nor a Mutafahish. He used to say ‘The best
amongst you are those who have the best manners and
character.’ (Bukhaari)
• Anas bin Malik (RA) said:

“The Prophet (SAW) was not one who would abuse
(others) or say obscene words, or curse (others)…”
(Bukhari)
• One who uses obscene language is reviled.
‫ـ‬َ‫م‬ِ‫ت‬ُ‫ش‬ َ‫ه‬َ‫ف‬‫سا‬ ْ‫ن‬َ‫م‬.
• .One whose obscenity increases is a vile.
‫ـ‬َ‫ل‬ِ‫ذ‬ ْ‫ر‬ُ‫ت‬ْ‫س‬ُ‫ا‬ ُ‫ه‬ُ‫ه‬َ‫ف‬َ‫س‬ َ‫ر‬ُ‫ث‬َ‫ك‬ ْ‫ن‬َ‫م‬.
• .An honorable one never uses obscene language,
‫ـ‬‫ط‬َ‫ق‬ ٌ‫م‬‫ري‬َ‫ك‬ َ‫ش‬َ‫ح‬ْ‫ف‬‫أ‬ ‫ما‬.
• .No one is more shameless than one who utters
obscenities.
‫ـ‬‫ى‬ِ‫ذ‬َ‫ب‬ ْ‫ن‬ِ‫م‬ َ‫ح‬َ‫ق‬ ْ‫الأو‬.
• .Indeed obscene language and vulgarities are not
from the morals of Islam.
• Pornography is defined in the English language as an
indecent form of art or literature.
• Islam also views it as indecent and terms it as Fahisha
in the Quran.
•
• "Say: The things that my Lord has indeed forbidden
are: shameful deeds whether open or secret sins and
trespasses against truth or reason (7:33)
• One of the most pervasive tools of pornography is
the television.
• Shows like "Dawson's Creek" and "Baywatch"
have no other purpose except to display blatant
degrees of nakedness and indecent scenes of
intimacy.
• Movies also succeed in conveying lewd imagery by
almost always including a love/lust story in the
story line
• Advertisements that contain pictures of other
women modeling bras and underwear.
•
• and those who not invoke with Allah other deity, and
not kill the soul Allah forbidden. Allah only by right and
not commit Zina (Sex outside marriage) and who does
that will meet a penalty.(25:68)
• and do not go near the adultery. Verily, that
is obscene and an evil way. (17:32)
A zani (man or a woman, does not remain a believer then Zina is
committed. (Agreed)
Some scholars say, if he/she dies without repentance, this death
will be in a state of disbelief or Kufr.
Iman (faith) is like a shirt. Allah (SWT) gives it whom He wills. When
a person commits Zina, This shirt is removed from him. If he repents,
it is returned back to him. (Baihaqi)
Indeed faces of zani (fornicating women/men) shall be
burnt in Hellfire. (Tabarani)
My Ummah shall have goodness as long as they do not have children
out of wedlock. When children out of wedlock are increased , then
Allah (SWT) shall send severe chastisement . (Ahmad)
O’ migrant Muslims! (I warn you of ) five ( fawahish) habits
that if you get involved and I seek protection of Allah that
you do so. Whenever these fawahish are done openly in
people, then plague and other diseases spread which were
not there amongst previous people.
• Doors of heaven are opened at midnight. An
announcer (from Allah) calls,” Is there someone
making dua so it could be accepted? Is there
someone asking for something that it may be
granted? Is there someone suffering with affliction
calling for relief so it could be removed from
him/her? There is no Muslim who makes dua but
his dua is accepted except that of a Zani or unjust
tax collector.
(Targhib and Tarhib)
• "Allah has written the very portion of Zina which a
man will indulge in. There will be no escape from it.
• The Zina of the eye is the (lustful) look,
• Zina of the ears is the listening (to voluptuous songs or
talk),
• Zina of the tongue is (the licentious) speech,
• Zina of the hand is the (lustful) grip,
• Zina of the feet is the walking (to the place where he
intends to commit Zina),
• the heart yearns and desires and the private parts
approve all that or disapprove it" .
[Bukhari and Muslim ].
• You have heard that it was said, “Do not commit
adultery.” But I tell you that anyone who looks at a
woman lustfully has already committed adultery
with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you
to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better
for you to loose one part of your body than for
your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if
your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and
throw it away. It is better for you to loose one part
of your body than for your whole body to be
thrown into hell.
Matthew 5:27-30
• If any of your women commit an act of shamelessness, call
four witnesses from among you, then, if they testify to their
guilt, keep the women at home until death comes to them or
until God shows them another way. (Nisa, 4:15)
• Wisdoms of the law is that Allah does not want these sort of
cases to become public conversation
• These are the cover of many soft sell magazines, who cheated
on who?, who did this with who? etc.
• It should never become open conversation for the Muslim
One person accusing a woman is out of the question.
• Surely, those who love to see immorality (Arabic:
fahishatu) spread among the believers, shall be
punished in this world and in the life to come. For,
God knows and you do not know. (24:19)
• Now the 'fahisha' here refers to slander or obscene or
transgressed speech by those amongst the believers
that spread slander.
• Musrifoon(going beyond limits) (7:81)
• 80-We also (sent) Lut: he said to his people: "Do ye
commit lewdness such as no people in creation
(ever) committed before you? 1049
• 81-"For ye practice your lusts on men in preference
to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing
beyond bounds."
• Qaumun Aadoon (transgressing bounds) (26:166)
"Of all the creatures in the world will ye approach
males.
"And leave those whom Allah has created for you to
be your mates? Nay ye are a people transgressing (all
limits)!"
• Qaumul Mufsideen (mischievous people)(29:30)
• And (remember) LUT (Lot) ; behold he said to his
people: "Ye do commit lewdness such as no people
in Creation (ever) committed before you. "Do ye
indeed approach men and cut off the highway?
And practice wickedness (even) in your councils?"
But his people gave no answer but this: they said:
"Bring us the Wrath of Allah if you tell the truth.
"He said: "O my Lord! Help Thou me against
people who do mischief!"
• Zalimeen (evildoers) (29:31)
• When Our Messengers came to Abraham with the
good news they said: "We are indeed going to
destroy the people of this township: for truly they
are (addicted to) crime."
• “And [remember] LUT, when he said unto his people:
‘Do you commit abominations such as none in all the
world has ever done before you?’” (Al-A’raf 7:80)
• The Qur’anic word is al-fahisha, which means
lewdness, shameful act, indecency.
• Fornication and adultery (zina) are also mentioned as
examples of fahisha in the Qur’an. (Isra 17:32).
• But here the definite article al is added to show the
even more serious nature of this act.
• Homosexual act is not only fahisha but al-fahisha.
• It is not just a shameful act but The shameful act, the
lewdness, the abomination.
• Qur’an uses the word min in addition to ahadin.
• It means no one ever did this act among all the creatures.
• This is an outright rejection of the claim that this tendency is
an inborn and ingrained part of nature for which no person
should be held accountable.
• Prophet Loot/LOT accused them of having made this choice.
• And the Sodomites did not say that they were helpless
because it was a call of nature.
• Rather they said, “You know very well what we want.” (Hood,
11:79).
• They threatened Prophet Lut of expulsion from their city for
objecting to their practices if he did not desist from criticizing
their way of life. (Al-Shu’ra 26:167).
• They were the inventors of this perversion and fully
committed to use of violence to defend it.
• Sodomites committed other crimes as well:
 like highway robbery and
performing shameful acts in public as mentioned in
one place in the Qur’an (Ankabut 29:29).
Their biggest crime was homosexuality, which is
mentioned repeatedly.
And then there was defiance. When Prophet Lut
warned them about divine retribution, they challenged
him to bring it on. (Ankabut 29:29).
Their invasion of the house of Prophet Lut for the
explicit purpose of molesting the angels who appeared
in the guise of beautiful young men was thus just the
last nail in their coffin.
• Cities of Sodom & Gomorra are now submerged
under the Dead Sea.
• This was a very prosperous and rich fertile land.
• Then the punishment came in the form of a huge
earthquake and rain of brimstones and fires that
turned their world upside down.
• The area then became the lowest point on the face of
the earth, being about 1300 feet below sea level.
• Its harsh environment permits neither fish or other
sea animals nor aquatic plants.
• It was as the Qur’an said: “And verily of that We have
left a clear sign for people who have sense.” (Ankabut
29:35).
• Some people claim that their (Sodomites) crime
was rape not homosexuality.
• Others have surmised that the problem was that
they were targeting young children, otherwise it
would be fine.
• The Qur’an does not leave the slightest possibility
of such interpretation.
• It says: “Verily, with lust you approach men instead
of women.” (Al-A’raf 7:81). It is rijal (men)
not atfal (children).
• Leviticus 18:22, “You shall not lie with a male as one
lies with a female; it is an abomination.”
• Leviticus 20:13, “If there is a man who lies with a male
as those who lie with a woman, both of them have
committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to
death. Their blood guiltiness is upon them.”
• 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, “Or do you not know that the
unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do
not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor
adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor
thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers,
nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”
• “For this reason God gave them over to degrading
passions; for their women exchanged the natural
function for that which is unnatural, and in the same
way also the men abandoned the natural function of
the woman and burned in their desire toward one
another, men with men committing indecent acts and
receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their
error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge
God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved
mind, to do those things which are not proper.”
• For more on this topic, I encourage you to read CARM’s
excellent article entitled, “What does the Bible say
about homosexuality.”
• Come not near to shameful deeds whether open or
secret.. (6:151)
• Say: The things that my Lord hath indeed forbidden are:
shameful deeds whether open or secret; sins and
trespasses against truth or reason (7:33)
• And when they commit a Fahisha (evil deed), they
say: “We found our fathers doing it, and Allah has
commanded it on us”. Say: “Nay, Allah never
commands Fahisha. Do you say of Allah what you
know not? (7:28)
• Mujahid said, “The idolaters used to go around the
House (Ka'ba) in Tawaf while naked, saying, `We
perform Tawaf as our mothers gave birth to us.’
• “Amara” starts from suggesting and it moves on to
command.
• The more control Shaytan has will determine whether
he can command you or not.
• Shaytan takes full control of some people.
• They are addicted to Zina and pornography. They
cannot stop themselves.
• God promises you His forgiveness and His abundance:
God is limitless and all knowing,
• O ye people! eat of what is on earth lawful and good; and do not follow
the footsteps of the evil one for he is to you an avowed enemy. 169
• For he commands you what is evil and shameful and that ye should say of
Allah that of which ye have no knowledge. (2:168.169)
• There are religions in the world, whose spiritual traditions include dancing
(men and women together) and alcohol.
• We learn here that these kinds of things are inspired by shaytan.
• You consume haram and it will immediately make you more shameless,
• You will start watching more filthy stuff, you will start going out to movies
more, you will start going to parties more.
• Read and follow what has been revealed to you from the
book and establish prayer, no doubt about it, it is in fact
prayer that prevents you from all forms of shamelessness
and evil behavior. (26:45)
• you might say: I have been praying five times a day but i still
have a boyfriend or a girlfriend. I am still addicted to filthy
stuff online but i still pray five times
• Something is wrong with your prayer, if you are still up to
this stuff. Something is missing because you are not really
praying.
• And those who having done something to be
ashamed of or wronged their own souls earnestly
bring Allah to mind and ask for forgiveness for
their sins and who can forgive sins except Allah?
And are never obstinate in persisting knowingly in
(the wrong) they have done. (Ale-Imran,3:135)
1-Satisfaction of sexual desire in Nikah
2-Prohibition of sexual perversions
3-Islamic education and training of
individuals
4-Islamic training of the society
5-Criminal laws or hudood
• Marry those among you who are single or the virtuous ones
among your slaves male or female: if they are in poverty Allah
will give them means out of His grace: for Allah encompasses
all and He knows all things. (24:32)
• ‘A person who possesses the means to marry and does not
marry then he is not from amongst us (i.e. the believers).’
(Hadith)
• ‘Do not delay in three things; 1) The offering of the
obligatory prayer. 2) The offering of the funeral prayer when
the deceased’s body is present . 3) The marriage of a woman
when her match is found’ (Hadith)
and do not go near the adultery. Verily, that is obscene and
an evil way. (17:32)
and those who not invoke with Allah other deity, and not kill
the soul Allah forbidden. Allah only by right and not
commit Zina (Sex outside marriage) and who does that will
meet a penalty.(25:68)
• Abd-Allah ibn Masood (RA) said: I asked the
Messenger of Allah (SAW), Which sin is worst in the
sight of Allah?
• He (SAW)said, “To make any rival to Allah, when He
has created you”.
• I asked, Then what?
• He (SAW)said, “To kill your child for fear that he will
eat with you”.
• I asked, Then what?
• He (SAW)said, “To commit Zina with the wife of your
neighbor”.(Sahih Al-Bukhari)
• Prophet (SAW) said,"Whenever a man is alone with a
woman the Devil makes a third." (Tirmidhi)
A-Developing Taqwah of Allah (SWT)
B-Sense of accountability in Akhirah
C-Lowering the gaze
D-Haya or modesty
E-Proper dress for men and women
F-Prohibition of seclusion with opposite gender
O ye who believe! Fear Allah and let every soul look to what
(provision) he has sent forth for the morrow. Yea fear Allah: for Allah
is well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. (Hashr, 59:18)
O ye who believe! fear Allah as He should be feared and die
not except in a state of Islam (Al Imran,3:102)
B-S
Every soul shall have a taste of death: in the end to Us shall
ye be brought back (Ankaboot, 29:57)
On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out to be
shown the Deeds that they (had done).
Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good
see it! And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil
shall see it. (Zilzal, 99:6,7,8)
M
If a Muslim happens to (unintentionally) have glanced
upon (strange) woman and he lowers his gaze, then Allah
(SWT) shall grant him the (excellent) Ibadah (worship) in
which he shall taste the sweetness in his heart. ( His
worship will be most excellent)

Prophet (SAW) said, “ Glance (Lustful) is a poisoned
arrow of Shaytan. Whoever lowers his gaze for Allah, He
will bestow upon him a refreshing sweetness which he
will find in his heart on the day that he meets Him.”
(Narrated by Ibn Mas’ud in Tabarani and Kanzul-Ummaal;
Vol. 5, pg. 228),
• Shaytan enters with a glance
• He makes seen thing more beautiful than it is
• He transforms it into idol which heart adores
• He lights the fire of desire
• He fuels it with wood of sinful actions
When you go to visit someone and you have asked
permission three times ( to enter the house) and you are
not given permission, then turn away.
O’ Those who believe! Do not enter other people’s houses till you
have sought permission and sent Salaam upon the family. This is
better for you if you remember. (Noor, 27)
Indeed the Haya (modesty) and Iman (faith) are
connected together. If one is removed then the other is
removed. ( Hakim, Targheeba)
Haya (modesty) is from Iman (faith) and Iman will (usher) to
Jannah. Obscenity is part of harshness (of character) which will
(usher) to Hellfire. (Tirmidhi)
• Ibn Masood (ra) said that the Prophet (saw)
said: "Among that which reached the people from
the words of the earlier prophet- hood: If you feel
no shame, then do whatever you wish." (Bukhari)

• And say to the believing women that they should
lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they

what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they
should draw their veils over their bosoms and not

Prophet (SAW) said,” Cover your Satar ( part of body
required to be covered properly) except your spouse or the
from the ones your right hand possess. “ I asked, “ O’
Prophet of Allah! What about when the person is alone?”
He said, “ Allah (SWT) has more right that you should have
haya (modesty) from Him.”
(Mishkat, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood)
Prophet (SAW) said,” No man should look at the Satar of
another man and no woman should look at the satar of
another woman. No man should sleep under one covering
with another man and no woman should sleep under one
covering with another woman.
The Prophet (SAW) said,” Refrain from nudity. Indeed
there are those (angels) with you who do not leave
you except when you use toilet or when an
individual has intimacy with his spouse. So, have
haya (modesty) near them and honor them.
(Tirmidhi)
Prophet (SAW) said,” When a man meets a (strange)
woman alone, then the third with them is Shaitan (to
seduce them).” (Mishkat, Tirmidhi)
Prophet (SAW) said, “ Do not go (to meet) women (when their
husbands or other mahrams are not with them). Indeed the
Shaytan runs (close to you to seduce you) like blood running in
veins. (Tirmidhi)
Ye are the best of peoples evolved for mankind enjoining
what is right forbidding what is wrong and believing in Allah.
Ale Imran,3:110
Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all
that is good enjoining what is right and forbid what is evil
and they will attain felicity. Ale Imran,3:104
• Individuals: Prophet (SAW) said,” Each one of you is
a leader and is responsible for those he leads”
• Organizations: Must engage in a systematic way of
enjoining good and forbidding evil.
• Society: Prophet (SAW) said that on the day of
Judgment a neighbor will bring his case against his
neighbor because he did not stop him from evil and
did not tell him right from wrong.
• Government: Officials are responsible to remove
evils in the society by enforcing proper laws.
• Islamic legal injunctions are aimed at achieving
human welfare
• Following universal principles are to be secured for
human welfare:
• 1. The preservation of life.
• 2. The preservation of religion.
• 3. The preservation of reason.
• 4. The preservation of lineage.
• 5. The preservation of property.
• 1. Transgression against life (murder or assault).
• 2. Transgression against property (theft).
• 3. Transgression against lineage (fornication and
false accusations of adultery).
• 4. Transgression against reason (using
intoxicants).
• 5. Transgression against religion (apostasy).
• 6. Transgression against all of these universal
needs (highway robbery).
• The First Objective: Islam seeks to protect society from
the dangers of crime
• “There is (preservation of) life for you in retribution, O
people of understanding, that you may become
pious.” (Quran 2:179
• The Second Objective: Islam seeks to reform the
criminal.
• “It they both repent and mend their ways, then leave
them alone. Verily, God is the Accepter of repentance,
the Merciful.” (Quran 4:16)
• The Third Objective: The punishment is a recompense
for the crime.
• Learning and practicing of Deen in everyday life for
self and children is of paramount importance
• Limit and monitor screen time (TV , computer)- Use
filters to block indecent contents. Use of internet be
allowed with the parents presence.
• Mobile phones are instrumental in young kids
accessing porn and such like and proceeding to try out
what they've seen on class mates phone
• Watch their friendship circles carefully. Encourage the
non-materialistic ones and try to avoid the ones who
always want to be hip/cool or talk in rubbish ways (i.e
slang/swearing)
• Teach them that righteousness is the measure of people
- not wealth, beauty, fashion labels, cars, houses, make-
up, friends - and reflect this in your own actions. Tell
them only that which pleases Allah has real worth in this
life and the next.
• Take an interest in their affairs such that they tell you
what is going on with them at school, with their friends
etc.
• Tackle controversial subjects as early as possible with
them - the key things that we do differently or that is
unacceptable and WHY. 7-10 years is fine to discuss why
such and such behavior is wrong.
• Children need to know that they will be told negative things about
Islam and Muslims at school. They need to know that newspapers
and TV news spread negative info about Muslims. Parents must be
vigilant and put things into context at home.
• WITHDRAW FROM SEX AND RELATIONSHIP EDUCATION from age 5
all the way through to the end of secondary school. These lessons
are part of the PHSE lessons (personal, health and social education)
where a lot of brainwashing and "how to think" agendas go on.
PHSE lessons are DANGEROUS.
• Spin will be put on it that it is actually a grey area where PERSONAL
CHOICE comes into it, RESPECT FOR DIFFERENT VIEWPOINTS and
NOT JUDGING OTHERS LIFESTYLES (code for accepting all sorts of
Fahisha).
• These lessons end up teaching a child that EVERYTHING is relative,
and subject to reasoning or get-out clauses and personal whims,
that nothing - no values, no viewpoints are absolute or
unquestionable
• They are told this is FREE-THINKING, CRITICAL-
THINKING, PROGRESSIVE, UNBIASED, CIVILISED
and GOOD when it fact it is the opposite –
• It just makes them slaves to their “Nafs” and putty
in the hands of those with some power in this
world.
• Parents have to educate them at home about
Islamic teachings and clarify any confusions in
their minds.
• Nurture them so they are clear that YOU i.e. their
own parents are the only ones really that actually
care about them
• They must have the courage and STRENGTH to
stand up for Islam with proper knowledge and
wisdom.
• Parents must be clued into Islam but also the
wider world, including current affairs but
especially the rules, ways, methods wider society is
brainwashing
• Parents must COUNTERACT these misconceptions and
controversies in a PRE-EMPTIVE way so that our
children's worldview is in line with Islam as much as
possible from an extremely young age
• Parents should discuss things in a sensible
straightforward way with the reasons for certain things
and emphasizing the benefits of it, recalling examples
from the Prophet (saw), history, current times
• To resist peer-pressure - they are not here to please or
follow there friends. They must be clear of the notion
that their friends are the fountain of knowledge,
wisdom or coolness. We hear so much that parents are
being held ransom by their kids for the latest branded
items. Parents have to be discrete in this matter.

Allah forbids fahisha

  • 1.
  • 2. • (Allah commands justice, (Ihsan) the doing of good, and liberality to kith and kin, and He forbids all shameful deeds, and injustice and rebellion: He instructs you, that you may receive admonition.) (An-Nahl 16:90)
  • 3.
  • 4.  The words for shamelessness used in the Quran 1. Al Fahsha: This refers to shamelessness in the general sense  Anything that is ugly , detestable behavior is considered Fahsha.  Socially unacceptable speech,  Socially unacceptable clothing,  Socially unacceptable actions,  Vulgarity,  Lewdness 2. Al Fahisha: This refers to a particular act of inappropriateness. So Fahsha is the general inappropriateness Al Fahisha is a particular act of inappropriateness. Plural for both:Al Fawahish: Include both Fahsha and al Fahisha.
  • 5. • There are two opinions about the meaning of Fahisha. Fawahish is simply the plural form of Fahisha 1- Something which is gross, or lewd and obscene.  This could be in speech or language (as in uttering foul, evil, lewd or obscene speech)  An indecent act per Quran like pornography, fornication , adultery or homosexual act, bestiality, incest and other perversions. 2- Any major sin for which Sharia has prescribed a Hadd (specific punishment). Examples are :  Disbelieving in God after having believed in Him  Killing an innocent soul,  Dealing with Riba (usury, interest),  Treating one’s parents harshly,  Adultery,  Fornication,  Giving false testimonies, etc
  • 6. • “Do not marry the women who were previously married to your fathers- existing marriages are exempted, for it is a gross offense <fahisha>, and an abominable act.” (4/22) • “Lot said to his people, “You commit such an abomination <fahisha>; no one in the world has done it before!” (7/80) • “You shall not commit adultery; it is a gross sin <fahisha>, and an evil behavior.” (17/32) So, the “obvious’ sins are 1)Pornography 2) Adultery, 3) Homosexuality, 4) Incest.
  • 7.
  • 8.
  • 9. • The Prophet (SAW) said: “O ‘Aisha! Have you ever seen me speaking a bad and dirty language? The worst people in Allah’s sight on the Day of Resurrection will be those whom the people desert or leave in order to save themselves from their dirty language or from their transgression.” (Bukhari) • The Prophet (SAW) said: “The inmates of Hell are of five types….” And among them he mentioned “…the miser, the liar and those who are in the habit of abusing people and using obscene and foul language.” (Muslim)
  • 10. • Abdullah bin ‘Amr (RA) said: • َّ‫ل‬َ‫س‬َ‫و‬ ِ‫ه‬ْ‫ي‬َ‫ل‬َ‫ع‬ ُ َّ‫اَّلل‬ ‫ى‬َّ‫ل‬َ‫ص‬ ُّ‫ي‬ِ‫ب‬َّ‫ن‬‫ال‬ ْ‫ُن‬‫ك‬َ‫ي‬ ْ‫م‬َ‫ل‬َ‫و‬‫ح‬‫ا‬ً ََََُُِِ َََ‫و‬ ‫ح‬‫ا‬ً ِِ‫ح‬ََ َ‫م‬ “The Prophet (SAW) never used bad language neither a ‘Fahish nor a Mutafahish. He used to say ‘The best amongst you are those who have the best manners and character.’ (Bukhaari) • Anas bin Malik (RA) said: • َ‫م‬َّ‫ل‬َ‫س‬َ‫و‬ ِ‫ه‬ْ‫ي‬َ‫ل‬َ‫ع‬ ُ َّ‫اَّلل‬ ‫ى‬َّ‫ل‬َ‫ص‬ ُّ‫ي‬ِ‫ب‬َّ‫ن‬‫ال‬ ْ‫ُن‬‫ك‬َ‫ي‬ ْ‫م‬َ‫ل‬َ‫ك‬ ‫ح‬‫ا‬‫ن‬‫ح‬َّ‫ع‬َ‫ل‬ َََ‫و‬ ‫ح‬‫ا‬ً‫ح‬َََِّ َََ‫و‬ ‫ح‬‫ا‬‫ب‬‫ح‬َّ‫ب‬َ‫س‬ُ‫ل‬‫و‬ُ‫ق‬َ‫ي‬ َ‫حن‬ ُ‫ه‬ُ‫ن‬‫ي‬ِ‫ب‬َ‫ج‬ َ‫ب‬ ِ‫ر‬ََ ُ‫ه‬َ‫ل‬ ‫ح‬َُ ِ‫ة‬َ‫ب‬َِْ‫ع‬َُْ‫ل‬‫ا‬ َ‫د‬ْ‫ن‬ِ‫ع‬ ‫ح‬َ‫ن‬ِ‫د‬ََِ ِ‫ِل‬ “The Prophet (SAW) was not one who would abuse (others) or say obscene words, or curse (others)…” (Bukhari)
  • 11. • One who uses obscene language is reviled. ‫ـ‬َ‫م‬ِ‫ت‬ُ‫ش‬ َ‫ه‬َ‫ف‬‫سا‬ ْ‫ن‬َ‫م‬. • .One whose obscenity increases is a vile. ‫ـ‬َ‫ل‬ِ‫ذ‬ ْ‫ر‬ُ‫ت‬ْ‫س‬ُ‫ا‬ ُ‫ه‬ُ‫ه‬َ‫ف‬َ‫س‬ َ‫ر‬ُ‫ث‬َ‫ك‬ ْ‫ن‬َ‫م‬. • .An honorable one never uses obscene language, ‫ـ‬‫ط‬َ‫ق‬ ٌ‫م‬‫ري‬َ‫ك‬ َ‫ش‬َ‫ح‬ْ‫ف‬‫أ‬ ‫ما‬. • .No one is more shameless than one who utters obscenities. ‫ـ‬‫ى‬ِ‫ذ‬َ‫ب‬ ْ‫ن‬ِ‫م‬ َ‫ح‬َ‫ق‬ ْ‫الأو‬. • .Indeed obscene language and vulgarities are not from the morals of Islam.
  • 12. • Pornography is defined in the English language as an indecent form of art or literature. • Islam also views it as indecent and terms it as Fahisha in the Quran. • • "Say: The things that my Lord has indeed forbidden are: shameful deeds whether open or secret sins and trespasses against truth or reason (7:33)
  • 13. • One of the most pervasive tools of pornography is the television. • Shows like "Dawson's Creek" and "Baywatch" have no other purpose except to display blatant degrees of nakedness and indecent scenes of intimacy. • Movies also succeed in conveying lewd imagery by almost always including a love/lust story in the story line • Advertisements that contain pictures of other women modeling bras and underwear.
  • 14. • • and those who not invoke with Allah other deity, and not kill the soul Allah forbidden. Allah only by right and not commit Zina (Sex outside marriage) and who does that will meet a penalty.(25:68) • and do not go near the adultery. Verily, that is obscene and an evil way. (17:32)
  • 15. A zani (man or a woman, does not remain a believer then Zina is committed. (Agreed) Some scholars say, if he/she dies without repentance, this death will be in a state of disbelief or Kufr. Iman (faith) is like a shirt. Allah (SWT) gives it whom He wills. When a person commits Zina, This shirt is removed from him. If he repents, it is returned back to him. (Baihaqi)
  • 16. Indeed faces of zani (fornicating women/men) shall be burnt in Hellfire. (Tabarani) My Ummah shall have goodness as long as they do not have children out of wedlock. When children out of wedlock are increased , then Allah (SWT) shall send severe chastisement . (Ahmad)
  • 17. O’ migrant Muslims! (I warn you of ) five ( fawahish) habits that if you get involved and I seek protection of Allah that you do so. Whenever these fawahish are done openly in people, then plague and other diseases spread which were not there amongst previous people.
  • 18.
  • 19. • Doors of heaven are opened at midnight. An announcer (from Allah) calls,” Is there someone making dua so it could be accepted? Is there someone asking for something that it may be granted? Is there someone suffering with affliction calling for relief so it could be removed from him/her? There is no Muslim who makes dua but his dua is accepted except that of a Zani or unjust tax collector. (Targhib and Tarhib)
  • 20.
  • 21. • "Allah has written the very portion of Zina which a man will indulge in. There will be no escape from it. • The Zina of the eye is the (lustful) look, • Zina of the ears is the listening (to voluptuous songs or talk), • Zina of the tongue is (the licentious) speech, • Zina of the hand is the (lustful) grip, • Zina of the feet is the walking (to the place where he intends to commit Zina), • the heart yearns and desires and the private parts approve all that or disapprove it" . [Bukhari and Muslim ].
  • 22. • You have heard that it was said, “Do not commit adultery.” But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to loose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to loose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. Matthew 5:27-30
  • 23. • If any of your women commit an act of shamelessness, call four witnesses from among you, then, if they testify to their guilt, keep the women at home until death comes to them or until God shows them another way. (Nisa, 4:15) • Wisdoms of the law is that Allah does not want these sort of cases to become public conversation • These are the cover of many soft sell magazines, who cheated on who?, who did this with who? etc. • It should never become open conversation for the Muslim One person accusing a woman is out of the question.
  • 24. • Surely, those who love to see immorality (Arabic: fahishatu) spread among the believers, shall be punished in this world and in the life to come. For, God knows and you do not know. • 30. • “And [remember] LUT, when he said unto his people: ‘Do you commit abominations such as none in all the world has ever done before you?’” (Al-A’raf 7:80) • The Qur’anic word is al-fahisha, which means lewdness, shameful act, indecency. • Fornication and adultery (zina) are also mentioned as examples of fahisha in the Qur’an. (Isra 17:32). • But here the definite article al is added to show the even more serious nature of this act. • Homosexual act is not only fahisha but al-fahisha. • It is not just a shameful act but The shameful act, the lewdness, the abomination.
  • 31. • Qur’an uses the word min in addition to ahadin. • It means no one ever did this act among all the creatures. • This is an outright rejection of the claim that this tendency is an inborn and ingrained part of nature for which no person should be held accountable. • Prophet Loot/LOT accused them of having made this choice. • And the Sodomites did not say that they were helpless because it was a call of nature. • Rather they said, “You know very well what we want.” (Hood, 11:79). • They threatened Prophet Lut of expulsion from their city for objecting to their practices if he did not desist from criticizing their way of life. (Al-Shu’ra 26:167). • They were the inventors of this perversion and fully committed to use of violence to defend it.
  • 32. • Sodomites committed other crimes as well:  like highway robbery and performing shameful acts in public as mentioned in one place in the Qur’an (Ankabut 29:29). Their biggest crime was homosexuality, which is mentioned repeatedly. And then there was defiance. When Prophet Lut warned them about divine retribution, they challenged him to bring it on. (Ankabut 29:29). Their invasion of the house of Prophet Lut for the explicit purpose of molesting the angels who appeared in the guise of beautiful young men was thus just the last nail in their coffin.
  • 33. • Cities of Sodom & Gomorra are now submerged under the Dead Sea. • This was a very prosperous and rich fertile land. • Then the punishment came in the form of a huge earthquake and rain of brimstones and fires that turned their world upside down. • The area then became the lowest point on the face of the earth, being about 1300 feet below sea level. • Its harsh environment permits neither fish or other sea animals nor aquatic plants. • It was as the Qur’an said: “And verily of that We have left a clear sign for people who have sense.” (Ankabut 29:35).
  • 34. • Some people claim that their (Sodomites) crime was rape not homosexuality. • Others have surmised that the problem was that they were targeting young children, otherwise it would be fine. • The Qur’an does not leave the slightest possibility of such interpretation. • It says: “Verily, with lust you approach men instead of women.” (Al-A’raf 7:81). It is rijal (men) not atfal (children).

Their blood guiltiness is upon them.” • 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, “Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”
  • 36. • “For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.” • For more on this topic, I encourage you to read CARM’s excellent article entitled, “What does the Bible say about homosexuality.”

Something is missing because you are not really praying.

  • 66. • 1. Transgression against life (murder or assault). • 2. Transgression against property (theft). • 3. Transgression against lineage (fornication and false accusations of adultery). • 4. Transgression against reason (using intoxicants). • 5. Transgression against religion (apostasy). • 6. Transgression against all of these universal needs (highway robbery).

  • 68. • Learning and practicing of Deen in everyday life for self and children is of paramount importance • Limit and monitor screen time (TV , computer)- Use filters to block indecent contents. Use of internet be allowed with the parents presence. • Mobile phones are instrumental in young kids accessing porn and such like and proceeding to try out what they've seen on class mates phone • Watch their friendship circles carefully. Encourage the non-materialistic ones and try to avoid the ones who always want to be hip/cool or talk in rubbish ways (i.e slang/swearing)
  • 69. • Teach them that righteousness is the measure of people - not wealth, beauty, fashion labels, cars, houses, make- up, friends - and reflect this in your own actions. Tell them only that which pleases Allah has real worth in this life and the next. • Take an interest in their affairs such that they tell you what is going on with them at school, with their friends etc. • Tackle controversial subjects as early as possible with them - the key things that we do differently or that is unacceptable and WHY. 7-10 years is fine to discuss why such and such behavior is wrong.
  • 70. • Children need to know that they will be told negative things about Islam and Muslims at school. They need to know that newspapers and TV news spread negative info about Muslims. Parents must be vigilant and put things into context at home. • WITHDRAW FROM SEX AND RELATIONSHIP EDUCATION from age 5 all the way through to the end of secondary school. These lessons are part of the PHSE lessons (personal, health and social education) where a lot of brainwashing and "how to think" agendas go on. PHSE lessons are DANGEROUS. • Spin will be put on it that it is actually a grey area where PERSONAL CHOICE comes into it, RESPECT FOR DIFFERENT VIEWPOINTS and NOT JUDGING OTHERS LIFESTYLES (code for accepting all sorts of Fahisha). • These lessons end up teaching a child that EVERYTHING is relative, and subject to reasoning or get-out clauses and personal whims, that nothing - no values, no viewpoints are absolute or unquestionable
  • 71. • They are told this is FREE-THINKING, CRITICAL- THINKING, PROGRESSIVE, UNBIASED, CIVILISED and GOOD when it fact it is the opposite – • It just makes them slaves to their “Nafs” and putty in the hands of those with some power in this world. • Parents have to educate them at home about Islamic teachings and clarify any confusions in their minds.

  • 73. • Parents must COUNTERACT these misconceptions and controversies in a PRE-EMPTIVE way so that our children's worldview is in line with Islam as much as possible from an extremely young age • Parents should discuss things in a sensible straightforward way with the reasons for certain things and emphasizing the benefits of it, recalling examples from the Prophet (saw), history, current times • To resist peer-pressure - they are not here to please or follow there friends. They must be clear of the notion that their friends are the fountain of knowledge, wisdom or coolness. We hear so much that parents are being held ransom by their kids for the latest branded items. Parents have to be discrete in this matter.
