3. An English Bulldog is the main
background of the album cover; this
could determine their heritage,
being English.
A bulldog has many
connotations;
A stubbornly
persistent
person- could
show their
persistence to
make the album.
To attack in the
manner of a
bulldog.- this could
be a connotation of
what's to come in
the album- the
beat and the
music.
Although the bulldog is a main
component to this cover, it is only
in black and white, taking the
focus away from it.
Because of the contrast
between the black and
white and the yellow bold
writing the key
information is bought
forward to the audience.
Represents the
different feelings in
the songs etc.
The cover is very
dominant, it stands out
making people want to
buy it and listen.
The album name is much smaller
than the artists name, showing
they are using themselves and
their reputation as a selling
mechanism.
The bold writing is
representation of
the beat, bold, loud
and punchy.
The audience then
subconsciously think it
through and it has
direct effect on them
without them realising.
They are also seen as a very
masculine breed, significant of
the artists and maybe their
potential target audience.
It represents hope, and
happiness, but has
conflicting associations; dull
or dingy yellow may
represent caution, sickness,
and jealousy.
