Albert Einstein was born in Germany in 1879 and showed an early inclination towards understanding the natural world. He struggled in school and left early, working at a patent office after having difficulties finding employment. During this time, Einstein began developing his theory of relativity and established that gravity results from the curvature of spacetime by mass. He received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921 and changed modern physics with his revolutionary ideas. Einstein died in 1955 at age 76 due to internal bleeding.
