Goal To improve CV Maker service in Aksel Role Responsible for the entire research and design process Type Course Project; Personal Project Time 7 days, November 2021 Description Aksel is now developing many products which includes Career Mentoring, CV Maker, and CV Review. It offers consultations with selected mentors regarding CVs, interviews, and other career preparation subjects. Project Overview
- 4. Research Setup 1: Survey I made an online survey and asked my network to fill it up based on their experience in CV-making. There were 22 respondents with various needs and background. 2: In-Context Interview I interviewed 3 people in need of a CV I asked them a lot of questions about their CV-making process, their preferences when making a CV, and how much they like the CV Maker they were using. 3: Card Sorting I created cards which showed features I was considering to improve Aksel’s CV Maker. I asked the participant to sort the cards from most favorite to least favorite and to explain why. 4: Shadowing Participants were shown a CV maker site (aksel.co.id) and they were asked to guide me through how they would fill out their information. Participants were given a specific task to fill out in a pre- made CV template document, and I was observing them through the live document.

- 8. Hard-To-Understand As the booming of ATS-friendly CVs are getting more attention to, some users find it hard to organize their information in their CV accordingly. LimitedExportChoice Users can only export their newly made CV in a printed website version, PDF, or in JSON format. WordingDifficulty Writing a CV is an art that not everybody will get in the first time. It needs time to practice how to verbalize background information and some users find it difficult to arrange their words. Pains 1 2 3 FINDINGS

How might we make the process of crafting a CV easier and more effective? How might we help getting out the words stuck in users’ mind?
