Airport Botswana has tightened security measures and procedures to protect the large numbers of people that pass through everyday. This includes fencing and gates around the airport perimeter, as well as access control systems at entrance doors. Security cameras monitor the parking areas, which only allow cars parked for less than 1.5 hours. All passenger and counter information is stored centrally to prevent data loss. Baggage is screened and items like knives, scissors, and liquids are prohibited.
