This webinar will present AGRIS international initiative and partnership in the usage of AGRIS bibliographic data as a gateway to enable researchers and policy makers to retrieve agricultural and scientific information. The end-user based webinar will explain the basic fundamentals of AGRIS, overview the AGRIS interface, and how users can initiate their searches using both the simple and advanced search functionalities. With the recent introduction of Open Data APIs, namely SDMX-JSON, and other web services planned, the OECD is moving from a pure ‘browser centric’ architecture towards a more ‘web service oriented’ architecture, with powerful and scalable data delivery capabilities in machine-to-machine exchanges, enabling a much wider use of our data by third parties. This focus has, and will further enable more and more users to assemble content and data themselves, compare or integrate data, or collaborate with each other to produce new content.
This also allowed for and has led to a number of new and accessible data experiences, now targeting those who do not understand, or have the desire to understand, specialised formats of a statistical nature. This is where the real value will be found in being ‘open, accessible, and understandable”.

Championed by early career researchers, librarians and information professionals, Altmetrics are to research as MOOCs are to learning. Like MOOCs most still do not understand their potential or how they could fit with or replace existing modes of delivery and assessment.
The first half of the workshop will help delegates gain an understanding of what Altmetrics are and how they can fit within academic library services. The second half of the session will deliver case studies, tools and techniques to help LIS professionals encourage better usage of Altmetrics.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software Fuzzing
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.
