Aging is the process of becoming older and brings various changes to the human body. Some common signs of aging include decreased hearing and muscle mass, graying hair, wrinkles, loss of reproductive ability, and less elastic skin. Diseases that become more common with age include diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, atherosclerosis, cataracts, osteoporosis, tooth loss, and muscle/joint pains. A healthy diet for aging includes foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and coconut, while avoiding foods high in sodium, fat, and refined flour.
