SIGMA ONLINE WORKSHOP:
E-RECRUITMENT PRACTICES IN THE CIVIL SERVICE
ENP South, ENP East and IPA

In a time of health crisis with increasing need for social distancing, public administrations are using distant
communication and digital solutions to a greater extent. As a result, many countries are considering
introducing the possibility to conduct recruitment (at least partially) online. While these reforms may have
been triggered or accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, they have the potential to result in important
efficiency gains and contribute to the modernisation and efficiency of HRM systems, regardless of the
sanitary situation.
This workshop will provide an opportunity to present good e-recruitment practices by EU countries, as well
as by SIGMA partner countries. It will also bring together practitioners from SIGMA partner countries to
exchange views and discuss the risks, challenges and opportunities in this area. The discussion will focus on
technical aspects of e-recruitment and prerequisites for the introduction of such tools.
