e waste is the youngest member added to ever growing family of Solid wastes that is the most important marker of the modern civilization. The magnitude and variety of the issues associated with the e waste are continually rising but e waste if scientifically managed and recycled provide a new opportunity for the secondary resource for many precious Metals and materials. Government of India has already notified the regulatory provisions for the management of e waste in the country. Various such e waste issues are discussed.
E-waste is a popular, informal name for electronic products nearing the end of their "useful life." Computers, televisions, VCRs, stereos, copiers, and fax machines are common electronic products. Many of these products can be reused, refurbished, or recycled. Unfortunately, electronic discards are one of the fastest growing segments of our nation's waste stream. Electronic wastes, "e-waste", "e-scrap", or "Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment" ("WEEE") is a description of surplus, obsolete, broken or discarded electrical or electronic devices. Technically, electronic "waste" is the component which is dumped or disposed or discarded rather than recycled, including residue from reuse and recycling operations.
A range of techniques is currently applied for retrieving components and materials from WEEE. The essential features of these systems generally conform to a scheme of: sorting/disassembly; size reduction; separation.

Carmichael Centre Ethiopia 2010 overview presentation 1Pat Walsh
This project is to build a Carmichael centre in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia as part of the development of the Carmichael Centre in Dublin. The centre will become home to approx 50 charitable and community groups in Addis Ababa and will allow local indigenous groups to have a secure base and a place to develop their skills and professionalism. The mix of charities will vary, but will probably consist of groups that represent marginalised people in Ethiopia such as children, women, disabled people, homeless people, people with HIV/AIDS, people with educational needs, people with medical needs, poverty eradication, malnourished people and other similar groups.
The centre will be a 4 or 5 story building of approx 20,000 sq feet with space for the 50 organisations either in their own office or in a shared space with 6 accessible apartments for disabled volunteers adjoining the building. The building will have shared services such as reception, switch, broadband, accounts, IT support, meeting rooms, and storage.
The building will be a model of accessibility in Ethiopia. It is modelled on an existing centre in Dublin called the Carmichael Centre – details of which can be viewed at www.carmichaelcentre.ie
The proposed building should be up and running by 2014.

Before you spend you money purchasing any equipment, spend some quality time planning how you will make this work. learn who is in the market, why you should not take advice from salesmen (or women) ever. Here is the cumulated experience and advice of The Commercial Aquaponics Group
This is a behaviorally structured model for an enterprise driven solution to the problems of the inner cities. It is focused on profit not philanthropy, on trust and confidence not on government programs. It is a market driven solution strategy.
Sustainable is NOT a cliche, it is not just Greenwash, it is a state of being. It is the triple bottom line applied to all three dimensions of a system, or, in our case, A Nation!
Sustainability is: Economic Viability, Environmental Soundness, AND Social Responsibility!
We are making a major effort to effect the National dialog in this elections season from one of crass utilitarianism to one of rational sustainable planning.
How to organize aquaponics growers into a cooperative for successful Marketing and Branding of clean, healthy, chemical and fertilizer free local food.
SUSTAIN, The Aquaponics Growers Cooperative
This presents the use and application of a JPA (Job Performance Aid) This is how all Software and indeed all procedural training should be conducted. The Job Aid or guide you will see is organized to support performance of every procedural step. It cuts training time my days (at least 50%) and virtually eliminates then need for The Help Desk. Although excellent for software training (ERP's) etc. JPA's have unique effect on all procedural jobs including manufacturing operations, maintenance, and in management decision processes.
The Green Ivy City Alliance, A National Model for Urban Economic DevelopmentSUSTAIN America PAC

Aquaponics uses the filtered effluent of fish to fertilize the vegetable field. The Veggies take what they want, then it is re-filtered, bio digested, and the water is recirculated back to the fish. It is the MOST efficient and natural growing method possible.

A Proposal for the first triple bottom line commercial real estate development project in Ivy City, one of the poorest sections of our Nation's Capitol!
Profit has always been the single most important driver for commercial real estate. Recently, with the advent of LEEDS certifications, cities have been demanding the developers address environmental concerns. However, the social dimension has long been ignored, with the term Gentrification a code term for eliminating poorer residents and essentially busting the neighborhood and replacing residents with more upscale clientele.
The Capital Homestead Act: Innovative Change to Expand the Middle ClassSUSTAIN America PAC
Change the rules, level the playing field, expand ownership of private property to all Ameicans. It's all about the money. Money follows property as does 'power.' Expansion of ownership of revenue producing assets (stock, real property, technology, software, IP, etc) will expand the middle class. look at these slides then go to www.cesj.org to learn more.
It is time to redistribute opportunity, to level the playing field, make all Americans independent. Barron Rothschild whose family founded the Banks of Europe said, "give me control of a nation's money and I CARE NOT who makes the laws." Laws should be made in Congress, not on K Street. Here is a real chance for change. Reach out!
The Sustainable Economic Initiative (SEI) A Collaborative model for Civil Soc...SUSTAIN America PAC
This is a 'net zero,' economic burden to municipalities seeking to reverse the urban blight and decay inherent to most rust belt inner cities. I poses a partnership between private and public sectors that is more expansive and integrated. The SEI is, in fact, closer in structure to the Japanese, 'Keiretsu,' that leveraged Japan into a wold economic power. Look elsewhere on slideshare for a one slide presentation of: The Social Keiretsu.
At Taste Of Middle East, we believe that food is not just about satisfying hunger, it's about experiencing different cultures and traditions. Our restaurant concept is based on selecting famous dishes from Iran, Turkey, Afghanistan, and other Arabic countries to give our customers an authentic taste of the Middle East
