Dr. Schally is a world renowned endocrinologist and I have had the privilege of collaborating with him on several projects focused on growth hormone signaling and cognitive aging. We are currently investigating how modulating growth hormone receptor activity impacts learning, memory and neurogenesis in the hippocampus of young and aged mice. I am responsible for designing and conducting the behavioral experiments, analyzing the results and assisting in writing manuscripts. This work has the potential to identify new therapeutic targets for cognitive decline.
