This is an example of recreation
because it offers services ranging from
fitness, arts, event and workshops.
People choose to go to recreation
centers because “Activities were
experienced for personal self-fulfillment
and growth” (Lunn, 2022, Adventure

late book returns. This library is also

6. Connection – Education
This is an education connection
because libraries give people free
access to books, for either learning
purposes, improving reading skills or
enjoying a good story. According to
Lunn (2022, Adventure #1) reading
books is a frequent cultural activity
amongst Canadians (p. 10).

This is an example of coaching
because Tweedsmuir offers many sport
programs afterschool and in the
summer. NCCP certified coaches at
Tweedsmuir teach sports like football
to wrestling and many more. Their
main focus is teaching students in
becoming physically literate, which is
being competent and confident in their
fundamental movement and sport skills
(Lunn, 2022, Adventure #3).

fitness many times, great way to spend
my time if I'm bored or just socializing
with friends and working out.

13. Connection – Coaching
Clayton Hills Golf course is an example
of coaching because they offer many
different levels of golfing lessons. Back
in my teenager years I took golf
lessons here and my coach taught me
the fundamental skills and techniques
involved in golfing.

to education because they offer PE
classes to students and is also
mandatory to ensure students learn the
importance of physical activity. The
also offer after school sports programs
in accordance to the Canadian Sport

enjoyment. I’ve spent many hours here
with friends, browsing and hoping to

For my friends and I, this is a great

that we might enjoy a lot.
