GUIDELINES FOR ADMISSION
1. The admission will be done through an Online Merit Based System.
2. Online Application Forms for admission will be available from Midnapore College website –
www.midnaporecollege.ac.in from 17.05.2016 to 30.05.2016 upto 12 p.m. (Midnight)
3. Application fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred) only per subject has to be paid online through Payment
Gateway Mode.
4. An applicant may submit Application Forms for more than one (01) Honours Subjects, preference wise.
5. Actual application fees on the basis of the no. of subjects applied for must be submitted otherwise the form(s) will
be cancelled and no refund will be made.
6. An SMS will be sent to each applicant after the successful submission of the application form with requisite fee(s).
7. Last date of submission of online Application Form – 30.05.2016 upto 12 p.m. (Midnight)
8. Provisional Merit List (Subject-wise) will be published on 04.06.2016 at 2-00 p.m. in the College website.
9. Final Merit List (Subject-wise) will be published on 06.06.2016 at 4-00 p.m. in the College website.
10. Merit list for admission will be based on marks obtained in best five subjects including atleast one language subject
in the qualifying examination.
11. Admission will be strictly on merit basis. The merit point of an applicant will be judged by taking into account
10% of the marks obtained in best five subjects and the marks obtained in the subject applied for.
12. Admission will be made on the basis of counselling and be done on the day of counselling.

b. Reporting Time for Counselling - 10-00 a.m. to 11-30 a.m. (no candidate or his/her representative will be
entertained after 11-30 a.m.)
c. Commencement of Counselling and Admission - 12 noon
14. During admission the candidates have to deposit admission fee for 1st
Semester as per UG Fees Structure (subject-
wise) notified in the College Website.
15. Selected candidates have to submit their Self-Attested Xerox copies of following documents at the time of
counselling-
a. H.S. Marksheet
b. Admit Card of Madhyamik Exam. or equivalent for age proof &
c. SC/ST/OBC/ PWD Certificate (if applicable)
16. Admission will be liable to be cancelled for any incorrect data or false statements.
17. Either the candidate or his/her representative has to be physically present on the day of counselling with original
and self-attested copies of all the testimonials.
18. In special cases (if the date of counselling in different institutions coincides), candidates may submit self-attested
copies of testimonials during admission. However, they have to produce the originals before the declaration of the
next list.
19. Applications of applicants qualifying before 2015 will not be entertained.
20. DIRECT ADMISSION for the subjects Economics, Hindi, Political Science, Sociology, Statistics, Electronics
and B.C.A. will be held on and from 25.05.2016 to 27.05.2016 and 30.05.2016 onwards till the availability of
seats. The candidates for DIRECT ADMISSION are to apply online as usual and appear for admission in the
college campus with form fill up registration no., bank receipt and all original testimonials.
21. It is mandatory to fill-in the Anti-Ragging Affidavit mentioned in the Application Form as per the order of the
Hon’ble Supreme Court & the regulation of UGC/AICTE.
22. Admission for SC/ST/OBC/PWD Students will strictly be made as per Govt. Rules. The Candidates will have to
produce SC/ST/OBC/PWD Certificates in original at the time of Counselling.
