Pursuant to the decision taken on 03-05-2020 in the high profile meeting chaired by Hon’ble
Vice-Chancellor, participated by Dean Academic Affairs, Deans of all Schools and other
important functionaries, the Link for Registration of OE/GE Courses for 2nd
Semester (2019
Batch) and 3rd
Semester, (2018 Batch) will be thrown open for selection on 15th
May, 2020. The
Link shall remain open for 16 Days and shall close on 30th
of May, 2020. Owing to the closure of
mobile internet services, the registration for all courses including Core, DCE and Elective Courses
( OEs & GEs) shall now conclude on 30th
of May, 2020.
The following instructions are important to note:
1. In the wake of Lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic, the students of each PG
Programme are advised to visit the OE/GE Courses offered by other departments
available on the University’s Main website under “CBCS” tab in the footer portion
and convey the final choice/s to the CR (Class Representative) who will formulate a
list and transmit the same to the respective Academic Counsellor for registration.
2. Academic Counsellors are advised to restrict the students of both semesters to choose
only one OE/GE Course from each semester. Further, the ACs are strictly advised to
keep a record of each Student’s Course Option Sheet in PDF format.
3. Academic Counsellors are advised not to allot skill/practical/field-work based
courses. Further, being in the online mode, the intake capacity of seats’ restriction is
withdrawn.
4. Students are not allowed to change the course choice in the OE/GE Category of
courses once it has been opted and allotted by Academic Counsellor.
5. The online classes for OE/GE Courses shall take place in the afternoon on Fridays and
Saturdays as per the timings already indicated by the departments/centres or as per the
convenience of the students and teachers.
6. Academic Counsellor will send the list of students (alongwith contact nos & other
particulars) enrolled for OE/GE Courses to the respective faculty members who will
ensure the conduct online of classes.
