Who is a Genius?
by: Mario E. Capule
Geniuses are made not born. (1) If you have your own positive characteristics, you can
be a genius.
(2) It is believed that a genius is a person who displays exceptional intellectual ability,
I am confident that many genius people were already written in history. As Filipinos and a real
BulakeĹos, we have the likes of Marcelo H. Del Pilar, who bravely fought the invaders of our
land. Because of his extra-ordinary intelligence, he showed his love to our countrymen.
Does it mean once we are not displaying exceptional intellectual ability, we are not
genius?
My friends, (3) I would like to give you my own perception of being a genius. You
donât need to have a high IQ (Intelligent Quotient) to be called one. Remember, everyone can
be a genius but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing
that it is stupid.
Dear friends, (4) intelligence for me is not the only characteristic to be a genius. We
need to be creative in some particular aspects. We need to be resourceful, innovative to make
something out of nothing.
2. Let me be honest in saying that (5) it is convincing to say that it is impossible for
someone to be good at everything. People always end up in being good at some things but bad
at other things. Therefore, though Iâm bad at other things, good thing is I also have something
special in me. I am proud to say that I am creative enough in doing something and with that I
can say that I too am a genius.
(6) Let me tell you my own experience why I said that I am genius, one time during the
lockdown, mother and fatherâs days were celebrated but since we needed to stay home, I
thought of creating flowers out of trashes just to give to my parents as my gifts. With that, I
think I showed how genius I was. (7) Always bear in mind that geniuses are made not born
even stupid person can learn something from the world of intellectually geniuses.
(8) You too can also be a genius if you listen more than talk, you adapt to change easily,
you know thereâs a lot you donât know, you are always curious and you are open-minded. Then
surely if you have these signs I have mentioned, you are now a real genius!
