CLUB ACTION PLAN 2014-2015
Area: Newsletter Club
Rationale
The Newsletter Club is an organization in the Holy Family Parochial School (HFPS) in charge of the publication of Bona Fides, the official school
paper. Through writing, each member of this club is given the opportunity to express their opinions within a frame of freedom and responsibility,
which shows their creative and education skills through writing.
The function of this organization would serve as a bonding agent that will hold a school community together as family by their awareness of the
truth and facts of all the activities and functions of the school and to accurately report all these to the whole school community through weekly
updates and a year-end publication of the paper. The students could acquire the skills needed to develop their full potential to analyze, synthesize
and evaluate issues, events and ideas that would eventually widen their perspective and awareness of the role and workings of mass media in a
changing world and would prepare them to face far more challenging experiences. Inspired by the school’s vision to put Christ at its center, to be
others’ oriented and to treat each other with dignity and justice, Bona Fides is a potential avenue for them to become responsible in giving
relevant information, making rational decisions, and serving as effective leaders to a democratic nation.
Objectives
The Newsletter club aims:

its faculty, students and non-teaching personnel.
2. to promote the development and growth of each member as means of strengthening ethical values, encouraging critical and creative
thinking, and developing moral character and personal discipline of the Filipino youth;
Fortitude
3. to make the members of the HFPS School community more aware of their respective roles in Philippine Society and in the world by
helping them formulate informed perspectives of local, national and global issues and problems; and
2. 4. to search for truth; to develop critical analysis, thinking, writing and speaking abilities; and to enhance free, responsible and effective
