1. Compendium of ROB drawings
● Compendium for Road Over Bridges on Indian Railways prepared as Report number BS-132.
● It will not only save precious time but also avoid the duplicity of efforts in developing designs for
each ROB. The fact that 188 drawings included in the Compendium have been approved by Zonal
Railways obviates the need for approval if they are to be used. Apart from this, 30 RDSO
standard drawings have also been included in this Compendium.
● RDSO has prepared this Compendium for Road Over Bridges on Indian Railways with an aim to
disseminate good practices in planning of ROBs, launching operations and to create a repository
of drawings in use over Indian Railways.
● The Compendium has been made available on RRCAS portal (Rail-Road Crossing GAD Approval
System) which can be accessed by Railways and Road Authorities involved in planning and
execution of ROBs.
● The Compendium was jointly inaugurated by Hon'ble Minister of Railways and Hon'ble Minister of
Road Transport and Highways on 02.06.2022.
