This document discusses how people often set up idols in their hearts that take precedence over following God and his word. It provides examples of common idols that people worship, such as personal opinions, inherited traditions from parents, worldly wisdom, denominational organizations, human creeds, self-justification, and public opinion. The overarching message is that we must love the truth from God's word above all else and be willing to set aside our preconceived ideas and idols in order to know and follow God's will.

When we walk the spiritual path, the first thing is to be sanctified, that is, to be separated from the world. This does not mean that we have to leave this world immediately, but that although we are in the world, everything we do, what we say, is representing God. And we can always remain unbiased in God’s truth, and at the same time continue to thrive. This chapter will discuss this topic

Today's church should be a place to make disciples, so the longer you study in the church, you should have affinity, peace, kindness, and goodness of Jesus Christ. However, the church congregation we see nowadays is very good at criticizing and judging people with the words of the Bible, but if you discuss the truth with him, they disdain to discuss it with you, so what is wrong with the church? , Is there any room for redemption? Chinese people often say that it is necessary to cultivate one’s body and one’s family to govern the country , then, conquer the world. But is that so in the kingdom of God? If so, then what should be different? Why does God say that you are a friend of the world and that you are an enemy of me? So a concept that seems easy to understand is a trap that is easy to fall into. So when we apply it to the church, how should we do it, then what is the standard, whether we will be deceived by the surface illusion, and did not choose disciples who fit God’s will to manage the church

If someone asks you why you don’t believe in God, then there is a similar question, that is, why you should believe in God. Many questions are related to the current religious world. The polluted theology when we run church activities, is it in line with the Bible? Are we able to tolerate other people’s suggestions? Whether what we teach has something to do with real life? Do we no longer do continuous follow-ups after we finish teaching? Until those points produce the desired effect, let’s discuss these in depth.

Boundary is a very important topic. When I have received various trainings, this topic will always be mentioned. But how do we use God’s words to explain this matter, whether God has given us enough wisdom, we just have to find out the content in it, and then implement it accordingly. I believe that God’s words must be more flexible and appropriate than the things of the world, and can enable us to live in God’s will.

So when you know that others want you to walk one mile, you are going to walk two miles. I am very happy, because what you do is supported by the word of God, and not only does it become more passionate. I also told others that this is the principle of service that we should obey, but whether this approach is in line with God’s requirements, we will analyze this situation carefully.

When something bad happens in the world, Christians will say that this is a thing done by the devil, but is it really the case? Is it the problem caused by the person's own behavior?
Why becomes this way, it’s because everyone says that God is love, then what is love? According to the definition of the worldly love, everything should be nice, and it will never be thought to have anything to do with disasters.
So if God cause this disaster, then, it’s hard to justify it. So we say that all these bad things are the actions of the devil and have nothing to do with Jesus Christ or God. In this way, if we teach others to believe in God, then there is no problem at all. Because God is like a Santa Claus in the eyes of the world. You can ask him for any gift, and he will give it to you with no hesitation.

From John 14:23, it is mentioned that if we obey God’s commands, Jesus Christ will live in us. But if we do not have the indwelling of Jesus Christ, that means we do not pass the test of the indwelling of Jesus Christ. Then, What is the problem? It means that although we are observing God’s commands on the surface, but in fact we have not obeyed God’s commands. How can we check it out? This is the focus of this chapter.

Lk. 15:11-31 Then He said: "A certain man had two sons. "And the younger of them said to his father, 'Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.' So he divided to them his livelihood. "And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. "But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. "Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. "And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything. "But when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 'I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, "and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants."' "And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. "And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.' "But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. 'And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; 'for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' And they began to be merry. "Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. "So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. "And he said to him, 'Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.' "But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. "So he answered and said to his father, 'Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. 'But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.' "And he said to him, 'Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. 'It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.'"

Knowledge makes people arrogant. This concept seems to be completely different from the world’s thinking. If I learn more, then I should know the breadth of knowledge. I should be like a learned person, and I should be more humble. But why the Bible said so, if this is a truth that violates the rules of the world. In this chapter, let us carefully look for the truth of the Bible for detail analysis.
Weak Christian? sacrifice oneself, fight with all one's strength Is it bibl...franktsao4
We can see many Christians in the world, they are competing with each other to read the Bible and pray, and participate in various activities of the church. They are deeply afraid of being criticized by others, because they feel that if they are criticized, they will not be able to glorify God, but what peace do they have? How about joy? The reason after careful study is that although they are already nominal Christians, they have never entered into God’s truth. As a result, they use the world’s thinking to do God’s works, but as a result, they are not God’s children both inside and outside. It’s really hard work!

Faith has always been a very controversial subject. The reason for the controversy is that we did not follow the interpretation of the original text of the Bible. Just like the following section, when we hear the word of God, love, we use what we understand of the world to explain God’s word, love, which brings others
John. 16:13 “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. ”
The error, is caused by, when interpreting the Bible, it is not for people to enter the truth, but for people to understand all the truths.
Walking by faith” means acting on what you believe.
Your belief system determines your behaviour. Explore what is a stronghold in the mind and how to build new ones using God's Word.

In the church, 20% of the people often do 80% of the service, and those who serve often complain about hard work and no successors. For those who do not serve, although they want to participate, they can’t get into the organization and don’t know how to start serving. This section proposes an ideal proposal of, how to build a team of co-workers, and the serving people will not form a party for private purposes, and at the same time continue to be spiritually edified, everyone can be united in Christ. I hope that will help Church’s operation.
We are all subject to emotions or feelings. Allowing our emotions or our feelings to guide us in religion can result in serious eternal consequences contrary to what our feelings intended. God gives us guidance in the Bible concerning the right place for our feelings in serving Him. This lesson deals with Emotion in Religion
Rom 8:5-8 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

2. • In the text we have a principle given by God that challenges our
attention.
• It vitally affects our study and every act of worship. The principle in its
application is: When men approach God's Word for the purpose of
justifying their idols, they can expect only that as a result.
• God will NOT overrule our desire of heart that is greater than our desire
for truth and a desire to please Him -- Matt. 5:6; Matt. 7:8
• Such desires are their only reward -- II Thess. 2: 10 – 12
• Idols take hold upon the mind and blind it to the truth.
• Men see what they are looking for in most instances. Men see ghosts if
they are looking for them.
• In studying the Bible, men entertain certain ideas and images in the heart
and begin to look for justification in the Word of God.
• RESULT: They are able to find them to their own satisfaction.
• We must love the truth enough to put away idols -- II Thess. 2: 10 – 12
• God does not force truth upon any man -- I Pet. 2:2; Matt. 7:8; Matt. 5:6
3. THE IDOL OF PERSONAL OPINION
AND DESIRE
• This idol causes men to reject plain statements of the
Word of God and cling to what they WANT to believe.
• Some have no hesitancy in saying, "I know the Bible says
that, but I believe . . . ."
• This means they are worshipping at the shrine of their
own desire and opinion.
• Man cannot save himself so why try to fashion religion as
he desires? Jer 10:23; Prov 16:25
• One who rejects the Word of God makes a god of self and
his intellect.
4. THE IDOL OF INHERITED
TRADITIONS
•Many are determined to follow the religion
of their parents regardless of what the Bible
says.
•Many times they never investigate it in the
light of truth -- John 8: 32
•This is "ancestor" worship -- Gal. 1: 13 - 15
•Parents should be honored, but not above
the Word of God -- Matt. 10: 34 - 37; Eph. 6:1
5. WORLDLY WISDOM IS THE IDOL
IN THE MINDS OF MANY
• It is regarded too highly -- if some "learned
man" states a thing, they accept it in spite of
what the Word of God says -- I Cor. 1:21
• It doesn't take worldly wisdom to
understand the truth -- Matt. 11: 25;
• I Cor. 1: 25 - 29
• It doesn't take a college degree or a PhD. to
understand the Bible -- Eph. 5:17
6. MANY WORSHIP AT THE SHRINE OF
DENOMINATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS
• Millions have been led to follow this idol blindly.
• They give their money and their lives to build them up.
• They have sworn fidelity to such, rather than to God.
• God doesn't recognize such -- Matt. 15:13; Matt. 7: 21 - 23
• Many think Divine authority rests with the church, rather
than with Christ.
• Christ has ALL authority -- Matt. 28: 18
• The church has no authority -- Eph. 1: 22 - 23
• Some think the church can change the Word of God at will
-- Gal. 1: 6 - 9
7. THE IDOL OF HUMAN CREEDS
• Thousands are wedded to such.
• They are drilled all their lives in these creeds until
it becomes to them a god.
• Life and service directed by the human creed
rather than the Word of God.
• Such is indicated by, "My church teaches . . . " or
"We believe . . . ".
• Like the Pharisees of old -- Matt. 15:9
8. THE IDOL OF SELF JUSTIFICATION
IS COMMON
• Some search the Bible for something that will
indicate that what they are already practicing is
right, rather than searching to learn the truth.
• Thus, worshipping the idol of self-justification.
• If wrong, we should face it and correct it.
• Examples:
• Drunkard -- The Bible says to take wine for
stomach's sake -- I Tim. 5:23
• Beer seller -- Says that they must provide for their
family.
9. THE IDOL OF PUBLIC OPINION
•Thousands fail to obey Christ because
they are afraid of what friends will say.
•Many practices are in religion to please
the crowd -- Gal. 1: 10
•If our prayers are to be heard of men,
then we have our only reward -- Matt. 6:
