taking care of the image and en-cashing the achievements of
students and creating an academic ambience for inducing
them to realize their individual potential to its fullest extent.

Upbringing

Footprints in the Sand
One night I had a dream.
I was walking along the beach with God and across the skies
flashed scenes from my life. In each scene, I noticed two sets
of footprints in the sand and to my surprise, I noticed that
many times, along the path of my life, there was only one set
of footprints. And I noticed that it was at the lowest and
saddest times in my life. I asked God about it: “God you said
that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all
the way. But I notice that during the most troublesome times
in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t
understand why you left my side when I needed you most.
God said: “My precious child, I never left you during your
time of trial. Where you see only one set of footprints, I was
carrying you.”

The Potter
I took a piece of plastic clay
And idly fashioned it one day;
And as my finger pressed it, still
It moved and yielded to my will.
It came again when days were passed
The bit of clay was hard at last.
The form I gave it, still it bore
But I could change that form no more.
I took a piece of living clay
And gently formed it day after day,
And moulded it with power and art;

The Touch of the Master’s Hand
’Twas battered and scarred, and the auctioneer
Thought it scarcely worth his while
To waste much time on the old violin,
But held it up with a smile:
“What am I bidden, good folks,” he cried;
“Who’ll start the bidding for me?”
-“A dollar!” – “A dollar, then,”– “Two!” – “Only two”?
“Two dollars!” – “Once; three dollars, twice;
Going for three” ….. But no!
From the room far back, a grey-haired man
Came forward and picked up the bow;
Then wiping the dust from old violin
And tightening the loose strings,
He played a melody pure and sweet
As a caroling angels sing…..
The music ceased, and the auctioneer
With a voice that was quiet and low,
Said, “What am I bid for the old violin?”
And he held it up with the bow,
-“A thousand dollars!” --“And who’ll make it two?”
-“Two thousand dollars!” --“And who’ll make it three?”
-“Three thousand dollars!” --“Once, three thousand , twice;
And going, and gone!” said he.
The people cheered…….but some of them cried:
“We do not quite understand
What changed its worth.” Swift came the reply:
“The touch of a master’s hand!”
