OF DISEASE BASED UPON REGIONS IN THE DISTRICT LOMBOK WEST (i –

Disease is an abnormal state of body or mind that causes discomfort, dysfunction, or
distress to the people it affects. The emergence of various of diseases today is caused
by many factors, both from within and outside the neighbourhood residents, so that
the alleged condition of an area or a residential area is one of the factors that
influence the spread of disease.
Therefore, it takes a real program to address the spread of disease, such as by
analysing the data accurately and timely, to determine which areas have a similar
spread of diseases so that government can set policy for the prevention of the
diseases.
The purpose of the study is to apply the correspondence analysis approach in order to
get a map of the spread of disease in each district in West Lombok regency. The data
was processed using statistical software of Minitab 15 and Matematica 6 Kernel. The
data analyzed using secondary data obtained from health care in 2009 about the
number of people with most diseases suffered by the community specified per
district, namely: acute infection of the upper respiratory tract (ISPA), rheumatoid
arthritis, infectious skin diseases, other diseases of upper respiratory tract, and
gastritis (magh).
The results found that rheumatic diseases and illnesses suffered gastritis tended to
community living in Narmada district, Gunung Sari district, and Batu Layar district.
ISPA and infectious skin diseases tend to be found in many people in the District of
Labuapi, District of Lembar, District of Kediri, District of Sekotong, District of
Gerung, and District of Kuripan. For other diseases of upper respiratory tract tend to
be widely found in many communities in the District of Lingsar.
