This study examined the effectiveness of Farmer Field Schools (FFS) in promoting coffee management practices in Ethiopia. A survey was conducted of 70 FFS members and 70 non-members. The study found that FFS members had significantly higher levels of knowledge, positive attitudes, and adoption of practices regarding coffee wilt disease management compared to non-members. For example, 67% of FFS members had high knowledge levels compared to only 8.6% of non-members. The study also identified factors influencing knowledge, attitudes and practices among FFS participants, such as experience, interpersonal trust, creativity and intercropping. The study recommends prioritizing mainstreaming of FFS and creating social networks to exchange knowledge and experiences
