education, it allows the teacher to know
where the student is in the learning process,
and thus make the right decisions.
• QUALITATIVE: Numerical scores or behaviors.
• QUANTITATIVE: Results in evaluator's descriptions.
• MEASUREMENT: Attainment, description of a skill or
knowledge.
• RELIABILITY: Consistency of assessment results.
• VALIDITY: Yes or no and evaluation measures.
Classroom Evaluation:
2
3. Formative evaluation
• Evaluates the student's performance during
training, something that is carried out
regularly throughout the instructional process.
• Examples: Verification questions,
questionnaires and surveys, metacognition
exercises, among others.
Summative assessment
• It measures student performance at the end
of the training.
• Example: Traditional exams with numerical
grades.
Continuous assessment
• The student is evaluated throughout the course by means
of averages and balances. The method of control is daily,
monthly or quarterly.
• Examples: Learning diaries or portfolios where
evidence of continuous learning is collected. 3
Assessment by averages
• It analyzes the average performance of the
students; it is a group evaluation that allows the
teacher to obtain general conclusions.
• Examples: Rubrics or anonymous surveys from
which general class data are then extracted.
Assessment by objectives
• Students' performance is measured in terms of the
objectives they achieve. This method, commonly
used in project-based learning, encourages the
learner to become more involved in his or her own
learning.
4. Allow students to apply knowledge to
solve a problem or demonstrate a skill.
Students demonstrate or construct
something, and that work is assessed
using observation and judgment, using
a tool such as a rubric.
Product Assessment
Measures the end result of the training;
i.e., measurement, interpretation,
judgment, etc. About the effectiveness of
the teaching. This type of evaluation also
helps to make future decisions based on
the results obtained.
Project Evaluation
It is "an instrument or tool that
generates information, allowing to make a
judgment on the convenience and
reliability of the preliminary estimate of
the benefit generated by the Project
under study". Ex. Rubric.
Research work
It is the favorite assignment of
educational systems to verify that
students acquired a certain knowledge in
the classroom, or that they will do it. 4

Performance
Record or Diary
These are the notes made
by the teacher during class
sessions. There, you can
reflect the classes that
have been given, the
students' notes and even
the most important events
of the day. In this way, a
record of activities is kept
on a daily basis.
Multimedia Product
These are all the
multimedia didactic
materials that guide and
regulate the teaching-
learning process of the
students, by combining
text, color, graphics,
animations, video, sound, in
the same environment.

6. This assessment measures
how well students apply
their knowledge, skills, and
abilities to authentic
problems. The key feature is
that it requires the student
to produce something, such
as a report, an experiment,
or a performance, which is
scored according to
specific criteria
Oral Presentation
They are the explanations that teachers give in class or
in the assignments that students communicate to their
classmates and to their teachers. The oral presentation
is one of the main tools used to evaluate the students'
knowledge about a specific topic.
In addition, oral presentation is one of the most common
methods used by teachers to teach classes. Like other
oral genres, it is used as a dynamic and dialogic way to
transmit knowledge as well as fundamental ideas and
problems of a subject of interest.

Game-based
Game-based learning consists of the use of games as
tools to support learning, assimilation or evaluation.
While gamification is based on the use of game
dynamics or mechanisms to educational processes.
Both options are based on the use of playful aspects to
motivate students in their learning.
Debate
For students is the best activity for developing their
communication skills.
It is the best activity for the development of their
communication skills. Debate is a good way to increase
the benefits of class participation and teamwork.
