This document discusses the inspiration and planning for a student horror trailer project. It was inspired by plot elements, themes, editing, sound, and mise-en-scene of films like The Gallows, The Woman in Black, The Conjuring, and The Strangers. Narrative and character theories inform the project, which will feature students awakening a real spirit in their school that begins haunting them. Research on horror timelines, trailers, and questionnaires also influenced the planning.

target audience.

10. OUR IDEA• Students knowof a rumouredspirit that haunts the school aroundHalloween, and decide to stay behind after school, to find out moreabout this
“ghost”
• Thinkingit is a hoax, theyjokinglycall the spirit, andbegin to ask questions.
• After calling the spirit over a couple of days, theyfind out that the spirit is actually real, byasking the question “Will someone diethis Halloween?”
• Thenbegins the disruption, as the spirit starts to hauntthestudents
