Guideline stated by Center for resorts and Hospitality business for resort having lodging facility (Das,
2018):
-Provide one signature amenity or anchor attribute
-Provide five secondary recreation/leisure/entertainment experiences
-Provide one full-service food & beverage outlet
-Bed-base must include short-term or overnight lodging
-Minimum of 25 rooms or other
-Emphasize a leisure or retreat-environment experience

situated in a beautiful natural setting, pollution free environment and far from the busy city
The vehicular access around the area should be provided.

Front gardens and exterior façade create a first impression for resort visitors
Landscaping i.e. hard and soft in the front are the most important parts of a cohesive design.
Reflects the architectural style of the resort and sets the mood for guests during their stay.
A focus on Location
Built away from city area with one or more natural importance i.e. water, forest, mountain
Escapes with a view
Mountainous panoramas, tropical seascapes, and stunning scenery are usually the core of these
features.
Outdoor dining and entertainment
To allow hotel guests to take advantage of their location is to integrate food, drinks, and entertainment
into the landscape design.
6. Rural places have unique culture and lifestyles >> To see real
picture of people lifestyle >> tourists have to visit villages
(Rural places) where traditional lifestyle and culture are
preserved in primitive conditions (Budhathoki, 2013).
Rural tourism was first practiced by Sirubari, Bandipur,
Ghandruk, Ghale Gaun villages, which was a new concept and
ideas in Nepal. People have not imagined that the village could
be turned into the tourist destination.
Temal, Kavre has great potential in tourism sector
development>> altitude of up to 1900 amsl.
Temal i.e. Ter Mal, according to Buddhist Mythology >>place of
Treasures, blessed and gifted place of Guru Rinpoche and it is
also home of the "Bodhichitta Mala" (Ziziphus Budhensis).

RURAL TOURISM AND VILLAGE RESORT PERSPECTIVES AT TEMAL, KAVRE
7. Tibetan Tourist made destinations >> Temal of some historical places like
Yarinag cave, Guru Pema Syabjeling Gumba, Tongsum Kunda, Rosaiba,
Arya Abalokiteshwor Dhyan Gumba, Boudhanath, Swayambunath stupa
near Satyanarayan Temple.
Chinese tourists also visit for business purposes to import Buddha Chitta
Mala. Temal’s shamanism culture and Vajrayana tradition of Buddhism.
Gauri Shankar, Langtang, Everest and Dorjelakpa peaks of various
mountain scenic ranges, Kathmadu valley and Sindhuli Ghadhi can
be seen from different parts of Temal. Trekking and Hiking Route

Narayanthan Temple every year August/ September according to the lunar
calendar (Together, 2018) .

Yarinak Cave
Yarinag cave in Tibetan Language
was a place where Guru Padmasambhav Rinpoche came to meditate; to
flourish peace, love, positivity, and to create a demon free village. This cave
can be great for anyone to explore spiritually, adventurously, and religiously
since many mysteries and ancient histories are attached within. The left foot

10. Some Historical Places of Temal:
Guru Pema Syabjeling Gumba
At this Gumba, the right feet along with the right shoe of Guru Rinpoche were
carved on the stone naturally>>Guru was chasing the monster, Guru's right
foot was carved at that place & his right shoe fell there.

Aagan (Courtyard) was used commonly as a space to dry the food material
and in festive ceremony.
Ground Floor >> Jato (grinding machine), Bhansa (Kitchen) and dining, Khat
(Bed) and platform for Gagri (water pot).
First floor >> bedroom and
Top floor>> houses the massive storage for food crops and home’s God
Mud plaster >> white soil (Kamero Mato) and red soil (Rato Mato)
The floors are mud and cow dung coated (Gobar, Matole lipnu).

12. CONCLUSION
Temal, Kavre is a popular destination for national and international tourism>> religious, social, cultural
values and natural hilly landscape.
Tibetan and Chinese tourist make this place a destination for religious and historical places of Temal like
Yarinag cave, Guru Pema Syabjeling Gumba, Tongsum Kunda, Rosaiba and Boudhanath, Swayanbunath
stupas at near Satyanarayan temple complex>> Most of the international tourists make this place as
their destination for Temal Trek route (also known as Nepal Buddhist Circuit) also.
Route haven’t many more fascilities >>There is also lack of tourist information Centre and night stay for
the tourist. >> To increase the no. of tourist, quality of accommodation should be improved where they
may have a comfortable stay during their visit.
Provision of village resort>> more tourist incresase>> local economy promotion and become more
fascinating tourist hub.
