EMPLOYEE ATTRITION PREDICTION IN INDUSTRY USING MACHINE LEARNING TECHNIQUESIAEME Publication
Companies are always looking for ways to keep their professional personnel on board in order to save money on hiring and training. Predicting whether or not a specific employee would depart will assist the organisation in making proactive decisions. Human resource problems, unlike physical systems, cannot be defined by a scientific-analytical formula. As a result, machine learning approaches are the most effective instruments for achieving this goal. In this study, a feature selection strategy based on a Machine Learning Classifier is proposed to improve classification accuracy, precision, and True Positive Rate while lowering error rates such as False Positive Rate and Miss Rate. Different feature selection techniques, such as Information Gain, Gain Ratio, Chi-Square, Correlation-based, and Fisher Exact test, are analysed with six Machine Learning classifiers, such as Artificial Neural Network, Support Vector Machine, Gradient Boosting Tree, Bagging, Random Forest, and Decision Tree, for the proposed approach. In this study, combining Chi-Square feature selection with a Gradient Boosting Tree classifier improves employee attrition classification accuracy while lowering error rates.

IMPACT OF PATERNALISTIC LEADERSHIP ON EMPLOYEE COMMITMENT AND INNOVATIVE WOR...MehranMouzam
1. Description of Research Work
Innovation is a key concern of HR now a days. It is the key requirement for organizational success (Akram,
Lei, Haider, & Hussain, 2018). It gives new ways to do work, to overcome situations, to solve problems
and to make decisions. Dedahanov et al. (2019) claims that PLB and EE promotes innovative work
behaviour of employees. This positive impact can be enhanced by I-deals that are now trending in
manipulating job behaviours of employees. Recent studies conducted by Microsoft Japan on a four-day
working week claims that, not only the employees became happier and satisfied, they became productive
at workplace. These shortened working weeks and flexibility made employees more efficient and
productive at workplace (Paul, 2019). Leadership styles are now playing major roles in organizations and
are proved to be crucial factors for their success. PLB is a practical approach to get maximum out of
employees. According to Hornung, Rouseau, Glaser, Angerer, and Weigh (2011), loyalty and commitment
of employees are major outcomes of PLB. When employees are committed at workplace, their performance
boost ups which ultimately effects the organizational performance positively. This study is conducted to
observe and to describe the role of PLB on employee’s commitment level and how I-deals can mediate this
relationship in pharmaceutical sector. According to PPMA (2017), Pakistan’s pharmaceutical industry is
progressive, vibrant and future oriented. It consists of more than 700 manufacturing units, having 25-
multinational pharmaceutical units working in country. 70% of country’s demand of finished medicines is
been met by this sector and have shown a remarkable growth over last ten years and has export turnover of
more than 12 million and accounts for less than one percent of country’s GDP. To observe this productive
phenomenon of PLB, I-deals, EE, IWB and commitment in such a fast-growing sector can help to develop
positive outcomes for them.

We examine the effects of establishment- and industry-level labor market turnover on employees’ well-being. The linked employer-employee panel data contain both survey information on employees’ subjective well-being and comprehensive register-based information on job and worker flows. Labor market turbulence decreases well-being as experienced job satisfaction and satisfaction with job security are negatively related to the previous year’s flows. We test for the existence of compensating wage differentials by explaining wages and job satisfaction with average uncertainties, measured by an indicator for a high moving average of past excessive turnover (churning) rate. The results are consistent with compensating wage differentials, since high uncertainty increases real wages, but has no effect on job satisfaction.

This study examines factors that influence sickness absenteeism and presenteeism using survey data from 725 Finnish union members in 2008. The study finds that presenteeism is much more sensitive to working time arrangements than absenteeism. Permanent full-time work, mismatch between desired and actual working hours, shift/period work, and overlong weekly working hours increase the likelihood of presenteeism. Regular overtime decreases absenteeism but increases presenteeism. The ability to take 3 days of paid sick leave without a doctor's note and easing of efficiency demands decrease presenteeism. Presenteeism is more common in the public sector and among those in shift/period work.

Employee Satisfaction, Labor Market Flexibility, and Stock Returns Around The...Sustainable Brands
Abstract:
We study the relationship between employee satisfaction and abnormal stock returns around the world, using lists of the “Best Companies to Work For” in 14 countries. We show that employee satisfaction is associated with positive abnormal returns in countries with high labor market flexibility, such as the U.S. and U.K., but not in countries with low labor market flexibility, such as Germany. These results are consistent with high employee satisfaction being a valuable tool for recruitment, retention, and motivation in flexible labor markets, where firms face fewer constraints on hiring and firing. In contrast, in regulated labor markets, legislation already provides minimum standards for worker welfare and so additional expenditure may exhibit diminishing returns. The results have implications for the differential profitability of socially responsible investing (“SRI”) strategies around the world. In particular, they emphasize the importance of taking institutional features into account when forming such strategies.

The level of job security, satisfaction and good work relations were found to significantly influence whether workers viewed technological changes positively or negatively overall.
One of the challenges of globalization for the least developed countries (LDc’s) is that
technology change erodes the advantages of labor intensive technology. This paper examines key
impacts of this technological change on job security, job satisfaction, and work relations of
textile and garment workers in Bangladesh. It shows that the overall positive impact of
technological change is associated with the suitable levels of job security, job satisfaction, and
work relations. Factors including uncertainty, frustration in terms of the job security; fairness,
good supervision, minimal conflicts, recognition, promotion and benefits concerned with job
satisfaction. The change process, downsizing and strikes are related to the work relations. Both
job satisfaction and work relations are significantly related to the overall impact on workers. Job
security is related to the overall impact of technological change particularly because of the
uncertainty and frustration among workers concerning their status.

Living in 21st century in itself reminds all of us the necessity of police and its administration. As more and more we are entering into the modern society and culture, the more we require the services of the so called ‘Khaki Worthy’ men i.e., the police personnel. Whether we talk of Indian police or the other nation’s police, they all have the same recognition as they have in India. But as already mentioned, their services and requirements are different after the like 26th November, 2008 incidents, where they without saving their own lives has sacrificed themselves without any hitch and without caring about their respective family members and wards. In other words, they are like our heroes and mentors who can guide us from the darkness of fear, militancy, corruption and other dark sides of life and so on. Now the question arises, if Gandhi would have been alive today, what would have been his reaction/opinion to the police and its functioning? Would he have some thing different in his mind now what he had been in his mind before the partition or would he be going to start some Satyagraha in the form of some improvement in the functioning of the police administration? Really these questions or rather night mares can come to any one’s mind, when there is too much confusion is prevailing in our minds, when there is too much corruption in the society and when the polices working is also in the questioning because of one or the other case throughout the India. It is matter of great concern that we have to thing over our administration and our practical approach because the police personals are also like us, they are part and parcel of our society and among one of us, so why we all are pin pointing towards them.

The asset quality of banks is one of the most important indicators of their financial health. The Indian banking sector has been facing severe problems of increasing Non- Performing Assets (NPAs). The NPAs growth directly and indirectly affects the quality of assets and profitability of banks. It also shows the efficiency of banks credit risk management and the recovery effectiveness. NPA do not generate any income, whereas, the bank is required to make provisions for such as assets that why is a double edge weapon. This paper outlines the concept of quality of bank loans of different types like Housing, Agriculture and MSME loans in state Haryana of selected public and private sector banks. This study is highlighting problems associated with the role of commercial bank in financing Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SME). The overall objective of the research was to assess the effect of the financing provisions existing for the setting up and operations of MSMEs in the country and to generate recommendations for more robust financing mechanisms for successful operation of the MSMEs, in turn understanding the impact of MSME loans on financial institutions due to NPA. There are many research conducted on the topic of Non- Performing Assets (NPA) Management, concerning particular bank, comparative study of public and private banks etc. In this paper the researcher is considering the aggregate data of selected public sector and private sector banks and attempts to compare the NPA of Housing, Agriculture and MSME loans in state Haryana of public and private sector banks. The tools used in the study are average and Anova test and variance. The findings reveal that NPA is common problem for both public and private sector banks and is associated with all types of loans either that is housing loans, agriculture loans and loans to SMES. NPAs of both public and private sector banks show the increasing trend. In 2010-11 GNPA of public and private sector were at same level it was 2% but after 2010-11 it increased in many fold and at present there is GNPA in some more than 15%. It shows the dark area of Indian banking sector.

This Researcher looked into how hard Nylon-6/BaSO4 composites are and how well they wear. Experiments were done based on Taguchi design L9. Nylon-6/BaSO4 composites can be tested for their hardness number using a Rockwell hardness testing apparatus. On Nylon/BaSO4, the wear behavior was measured by a wear monitor, pinon-disc friction by varying reinforcement, sliding speed, and sliding distance, and the microstructure of the crack surfaces was observed by SEM. This study provides significant contributions to ultimate strength by increasing BaSO4 content up to 16% in the composites, and sliding speed contributes 72.45% to the wear rate
ROLE OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT OF INDIA - PROBLEMS AND ...IAEME Publication
The majority of the population in India lives in villages. The village is the back bone of the country. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Developing the rural economy is one of the key indicators towards a country’s success. Whether it be the need to look after the welfare of the farmers or invest in rural infrastructure, Governments have to ensure that rural development isn’t compromised. The economic development of our country largely depends on the progress of rural areas and the standard of living of rural masses. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Rural entrepreneurship is based on stimulating local entrepreneurial talent and the subsequent growth of indigenous enterprises. It recognizes opportunity in the rural areas and accelerates a unique blend of resources either inside or outside of agriculture. Rural entrepreneurship brings an economic value to the rural sector by creating new methods of production, new markets, new products and generate employment opportunities thereby ensuring continuous rural development. Social Entrepreneurship has the direct and primary objective of serving the society along with the earning profits. So, social entrepreneurship is different from the economic entrepreneurship as its basic objective is not to earn profits but for providing innovative solutions to meet the society needs which are not taken care by majority of the entrepreneurs as they are in the business for profit making as a sole objective. So, the Social Entrepreneurs have the huge growth potential particularly in the developing countries like India where we have huge societal disparities in terms of the financial positions of the population. Still 22 percent of the Indian population is below the poverty line and also there is disparity among the rural & urban population in terms of families living under BPL. 25.7 percent of the rural population & 13.7 percent of the urban population is under BPL which clearly shows the disparity of the poor people in the rural and urban areas. The need to develop social entrepreneurship in agriculture is dictated by a large number of social problems. Such problems include low living standards, unemployment, and social tension. The reasons that led to the emergence of the practice of social entrepreneurship are the above factors. The research problem lays upon disclosing the importance of role of social entrepreneurship in rural development of India. The paper the tendencies of social entrepreneurship in India, to present successful examples of such business for providing recommendations how to improve situation in rural areas in terms of social entrepreneurship development. Indian government has made some steps towards development of social enterprises, social entrepreneurship, and social in- novation, but a lot remains to be improved.
OPTIMAL RECONFIGURATION OF POWER DISTRIBUTION RADIAL NETWORK USING HYBRID MET...IAEME Publication
Distribution system is a critical link between the electric power distributor and the consumers. Most of the distribution networks commonly used by the electric utility is the radial distribution network. However in this type of network, it has technical issues such as enormous power losses which affect the quality of the supply. Nowadays, the introduction of Distributed Generation (DG) units in the system help improve and support the voltage profile of the network as well as the performance of the system components through power loss mitigation. In this study network reconfiguration was done using two meta-heuristic algorithms Particle Swarm Optimization and Gravitational Search Algorithm (PSO-GSA) to enhance power quality and voltage profile in the system when simultaneously applied with the DG units. Backward/Forward Sweep Method was used in the load flow analysis and simulated using the MATLAB program. Five cases were considered in the Reconfiguration based on the contribution of DG units. The proposed method was tested using IEEE 33 bus system. Based on the results, there was a voltage profile improvement in the system from 0.9038 p.u. to 0.9594 p.u.. The integration of DG in the network also reduced power losses from 210.98 kW to 69.3963 kW. Simulated results are drawn to show the performance of each case.

To overcome current challenges, manufacturing industries have started using frugal approach in product design and services. For this study, methodology adopted with both primary and secondary sources of data. For primary source interview and observation technique is used and for secondary source review has done based on available literatures in website, printed magazines, manual etc. An attempt has made for understanding application of frugal approach with the study of manufacturing industry project. Manufacturing industry selected for this project study is Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. This paper will help researcher to find the connections between the two concepts productivity improvement and frugal approach. This paper will help to understand significance of frugal approach for productivity improvement in manufacturing industry. This will also help to understand current scenario of frugal approach in manufacturing industry. In manufacturing industries various process are involved to deliver the final product. In the process of converting input in to output through manufacturing process productivity plays very critical role. Hence this study will help to evolve status of frugal approach in productivity improvement programme. The notion of frugal can be viewed as an approach towards productivity improvement in manufacturing industries.

In this paper, we investigated a queuing model of fuzzy environment-based a multiple channel queuing model (M/M/C) ( /FCFS) and study its performance under realistic conditions. It applies a nonagonal fuzzy number to analyse the relevant performance of a multiple channel queuing model (M/M/C) ( /FCFS). Based on the sub interval average ranking method for nonagonal fuzzy number, we convert fuzzy number to crisp one. Numerical results reveal that the efficiency of this method. Intuitively, the fuzzy environment adapts well to a multiple channel queuing models (M/M/C) ( /FCFS) are very well.

desired, predictable, or deserved. It refers to an individual's constructive exciting reactions to a
particular job and can be both positive and negative at the same time. Economic empowerment
of women is mainly based on their contribution in decision making process with regard to
raising and distribution of income, investments and expenditure at all levels. The entire efforts
of empowering women are to help them exercise their rights in decision-making at all levels
and in every sphere.
2. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Job satisfaction is the degree to which employees view their work in a favourable or
unfavourable light. The association between job and life is complex depending on personality
factors like job and socio-economic environment. An effort has been made to examine the
women work contribution and empowerment through decision making. The study shows that
empowerment encompasses a wide variety of factors such as economic, political and social as
well as social and cultural factors. The present chapter makes an attempt to analyze the
following objectives.
3. OBJECTIVES
• To analyze the extent to which women work participation empower them through
management;
• To find out the variation in monthly income between different groups of women
workers;
• To analyze the women worker contribution towards Family income; and
• To study the level of job satisfaction of the respondents in the study area.
4. METHODOLOGY
The researcher had adopted an exploratory research design to study this problem so as to fulfil
the research gap and suggest for suitable solutions. The primary data was collected through
field survey with the help of well-structured comprehensive interview schedule, with the
application of simple random sampling method. The researcher had selected 50 sample women
workers each from telecommunication, banking and postal services respectively from public
and private sectors. The universe was 15,019 and sampling size was 300, those who were
working in these sectors were grouped into two numbers of cluster namely public (150) and
private (150). It was collected between the periods of November 2018-April 2019 and analyzed
with the help of the SPSS package.

careers. Independent decision making was found to be less prevalent in the private sector than
in the public sector. Joint discussions were held by 19.33% of families in the private sector and
7.33% in the public sector. In the private sector, 19.33% of decisions were made by a spouse
or family member alone, while 18% of decisions were made by a spouse or family member
alone in the public sector. Thus, it is inferred from the total score that majority of working
women could take decisions independently relating to professional career in both the public and
private sector organizations.
In order to determine whether women working in different sectors have caused considerable
difference in empowerment scores, one way ANOVA test was carried out. The computed
results of one-way ANOVA for women work participants. There was a significant variation in
empowerment scores between public and private sector women employees in the study area.
Thus, it may be concluded that the empowerment of women varied with different sectors among
women workers under service sector in Tiruchirappalli district.

*Source: Computed from Primary data
It is observed from the above table that out of eight socio-economic variables, namely age,
educational qualification, salary and family income are significant association with job
satisfaction and the other variables are not significant in the public sector organizations.
6. FINDINGS OF THE STUDY
• More than half 88 (58.67%) of the respondents from public sector had medium level of
job satisfaction. Hence, it could be concluded that the age factor influences the job
satisfaction of public sector only under service sector.
• The religion does not influence on the job satisfaction of both public and private sector
employees. There exists no relationship between marital status and level of job
satisfaction in public sector. Hence, there exists no relationship between the type of
family and the level of job satisfaction in public sector employees in Trichy district.
• The size of the family does not appear to have any influence on the job satisfaction of
public sector employees. The educational qualification influences on the job satisfaction
of women employees of public sector organizations under service sector in Trichy
district. Salary influences the level of job satisfaction of the public sector employees.
• It is understood on the basis of total score value that the women in both sectors decide
the education of their children independently. It is understood on the basis of total score
value that the women in both sectors decide the career of their children jointly. It is clear
from the total score that majority of working women could take decisions by spouse or
family members regarding their health and medicine.
• It is observed on the basis of total score value that working women decide the leisure
activities in both public and private sectors. It is also observed from the above table that
independent decision was found to be dominant in public sector and spouse or family
members decision in private sector regarding the purchase of home appliances in the
study area.
• It is observed during the survey that many women have said that if they had money,
they would also be able to buy gifts for others. It may be inferred from the score value
that majority of personal need decisions of women worker could be taken
independently.
• Total monthly income influences the level of job satisfaction of the public sector
employees. The majority of working women could take decisions independently relating
to professional career in both the public and private sector organizations.
• Majority of working women could take decisions independently relating to professional

area.
• There was a significant variation in empowerment scores between public and private
sector women employees in the study area. The empowerment of women varied with
different sectors among women workers under service sector in Tiruchirappalli district.
• There was a significant variation in the monthly income of women workers between
public and private sectors. The monthly income varied significantly for sector among
women workers. The results of one-way ANOVA test for monthly income among
women workers in banking, telecommunication and postal under public sector.
• There was a significant variation in the monthly income between banking,
telecommunication and postal of women employees working in public sector. The
monthly income varied significantly between banking, telecommunication and postal.
The results of one-way ANOVA test for women working in banking,
telecommunication and postal services under private sector.
• There was no significant variation in the monthly income between banking,
telecommunication and postal services of women employees working in private sector.
Hence, in may be concluded that the monthly income does not vary significantly
between three service sectors namely banking, telecommunication and postal services
under private sector.
• The F value indicates that estimated regression model is statistically significant at one
percent in three cases. The estimated values of regression equations for banking,
telecommunication and postal services under private sector. Nearly 88 (58.67%) of the
sample respondents from the public sector reported a medium level of job satisfaction.
• It is found that the calculated chi-square values are greater than the table value in respect
of public sector employees. Therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected for public sector.
Hence it could be concluded that the age factor influences the job satisfaction of public
sector only under service sector.
• It is cleared in the case of the public sector employees; the calculated chi-square value
is less than table value. Hence the null hypothesis is accepted. Thus, the religion does
not influence on the job satisfaction of both public and private sector employees.
• It is noticed that the calculated values of the Chi-square value is less than the table values
in public sector organizations so the null hypothesis is accepted for public sector. It is
concluded that there exists no relationship between marital status and level of job
satisfaction in public sector.
• It is portrayed that the calculated values of the Chi-square test are less than the table
values in public sectors. So the null hypothesis is accepted. Hence there exists no
relationship between the type of family and the level of job satisfaction in public sector
employees in Trichy district.
• The calculated chi-square value is less than table value. Hence the null hypothesis is
accepted. Thus, the size of the family does not appear to have any influence on the job
satisfaction of public sector employees.
